I stare at him with a questioning look on my face, still not fully aware of why he had all of a sudden just appeared in Mortinger out of all places, I mean, it isn't somewhere that you would come for a day out.
"Well, I actually don't have a reason, I just wanted to say hi," He nervously laughs, before crossing his arms and looking at me.
"So you did have a reason then?"
"Well- I mean urm well-"
"-I'm kidding," I smile at him as I walk towards him energetically. Is hugging him right now too early to be hugging him again? What if he pushes me away? Or even worse ask me what I am doing? Why am I overthinking so much, it's just a hug, right? To my surprise Morcar meets me in the middle and lifts me off of the ground and into his arms.
"Jesus someone missed me!" I chuckle to Morcar. He has got much stronger than I remember, he was never weak, he just never had the muscles he has now.
"Well I mean it has been like three years I'm pretty sure," I am 18 now, so yeah I guess it really has been that long.
"Urm- I'm just gonna go to the toilet, I'll be back in a minute!" Coraline said and before I had said anything, she had already left.
"Jheez what's her problem?" Morcar questioned.
"Huh? Nothing. She's just going to the toilet, stop overreacting, just because you think she hates you," I tease lightly, not knowing if he would take my joke or not.
"No I do not, I just thought I might've been interrupting something!" He exclaims.
"Nah nothing really, we were just practising a spell. Anyway why are you really back?"
"I told you, to see you," He scatters his eyes around the room, I presume taking in the new surroundings, seeming as it is the first time that he has been here.
"Darling, I can read you like a book, you're lying. Just tell me," He looks hesitant before he starts to open his mouth then shuts it again. I raise my eyebrow at him and he sighs, now feeling reluctant to tell me.
"Well I actually am here to see you, but it isn't the only reason. After your dad- erm well yeah-"
"You can say it Morcar, I am fully aware that my father is dead," I chuckle quickly, realising that I probably shouldn't be laughing in this situation.
"Well yeah- after he died they kinda blamed me for it because I was there. But I swear on my life that I was not a part in your dad's death, I promise you and I just wanted to make sure that you knew that," This time he looked me dead in the eyes and his smile had become more of a serious smoulder that is kinda hot. Not the right time? Okay.
"I believe you," I smile gently at him.
"Good. But also I am here to ask you something," Oh god. Last time this happened he told me that he was joining the black magic community. Is he even still in it? So many questions but not enough answers.
"Go on," I try to keep my cool and if it's bad news make sure not to cry like last time.
"I want you to come back to Galapanda with me."
"I- oh my god yes. I would love to!" Excitement fills my whole body and I feel like I am about to explode.
"Wait, really? Just like that?"
"Just like that," I whisper reassuringly. But hold on, what about Coraline? I mean, I can't just leave her here. "Wait- I err- can't leave Coraline here."
"What why? She lives in this town she might not fit in at Galapanda," Oh, I forgot I didn't even tell him that-
"Well actually-"
