What a day we've had today, it has been one of the longest days in a while. In just one day, I had managed to be responsible for a man's death, my mother was killed, Coraline was almost arrested but finally, silence. Peace. The sky danced with oranges and pinks and reds. It is really beautiful, this is really the thing that made my day. I just wish that this moment would last forever. The peace, the prosperity of it all. The sea softly doused onto the bottom of the boat. The sea was crystal clear, I could see the bottom of the sandy floor. What I would do to be a creature in the sea, it just looked so easy. No crying over spilt blood, no running away from things, just silence.

I could feel the tears on my cheek now, but I had no reason to wipe them off, I am standing alone, so what did it matter anyway. I just wanted to be at home again. I close my eyes and imagine my mother and father at home with me, when times were easier than this...

I did not want to get up today. It is a sunny Saturday morning, and damn is it warm in here! I could feel the sun blazing in through my curtains, there is not a cloud in the sky today by the looks of it. These are my favourite days. Waking up early, seeing the sun shine across the town, it made me feel more at home than ever.

"Darling, breakfast is ready!" My father shouted from the kitchen upstairs. My father is an intelligent man, he had calculated the exact minute I would wake up depending on the way the sun shone, the more it shined, the earlier I woke up. The later it shone or didn't shine at all, were the days that took me longer to get out of bed.

"Coming!" I shout. I walk over to my wardrobe and quickly change my knickers and put on a white bra. Then I quickly slip on a white t-shirt and a pair of black silky shorts to wear for the rest of the day. I didn't shower this morning, because I had showered last night, and, quite frankly, I just didn't feel like it!

"Honey, it's getting cold." Mother pointed out. I didn't think I took that long, oops! Before I leave my room I put on a pair of neon pink socks and spray deodorant under my armpits. That should do it.

I run up the stairs and walk into the kitchen to see my mother and father, hand in hand, talking to each other. "Morning" I smile at them before walking over to the table to see what I had for breakfast this morning. "My favourite! Thank you dad."

"Oh don't thank me sweetheart, your mother made it." He said before pulling her in and kissing her on the cheek.

"Ew, gross!" I looked at them and laughed.

"Hey! No talk like that, It's called true love darling." My mother giggled. True love? Sounds like a load of all bullshit to me, but, if they say so. Love was gross anyway, I thought it was weird. I dug into my pancakes that were covered in maple syrup and topped with strawberries. My mum did truly make the best pancakes in the world, no one else ever topped her pancakes.

After I had my breakfast I walked downstairs into my room and took my phone off charge and checked to see if I had any messages.

Well, at least I have plans for today I suppose.

"Hey honey, me and your father were going to pop out for the day to see some friends, is that okay? We can stay here if not." My mother walked in and my father shortly after.

"Yeah, sure! I have plans of my own today." I smiled. Wow, I love them so much, I am so lucky.

"Okay, well, we will see you later. We love you!" Father exclaimed. Without another word they both walked over to me and gave me a hug.
