"Hurry up, we're leaving." Before they both turned around I slipped on my sunglasses to disguise my tired, broken eyes. I could feel a chill surge through my body, I felt so cold, so numb. I really lost everything, I told him I hated him. I hate this, why do I never get to say goodbye?
"Right now?" Coraline questions, as she packs her bag.
"Yeah right now."
"Hey." Morcar jumps up from his chair and walks over to me. "What's wrong, are you okay?" I could feel the lump in my throat start to get bigger, if I speak, I am going to break down. I just nod my head and force a smile.
"Right, I'm ready, let's go."
"I just need to do something quick." Morcar says before grabbing his bag.
"Okay, Arielle and I will head downstairs!" Before I could object, Coraline grabs my arm and walks out of the door.
Morcar's pov...
Shortly after Coraline and Arielle headed downstairs, I opened my bag and searched frantically. Where is it? How have I lost it? I zip up my backpack and walk towards my room to check if I had left my phone in there. I approach the door and swing it open to find someone sitting in the armchair near the window. I could not see their face, just their hand, resting on the arm of it. "Hello, can I help you?" The person does not answer, does not move a muscle. I sling my bag on my bed and quickly search the bedside cabinet and find my phone lodged under lots of paper that was in there. "So, not talking, huh?" I pick up my feet and walk over to the window. "Hello-" Oh my god, I think I'm gonna- I turn around and throw up into the bin. I stay there for a minute, trying to justify what I just saw.I wipe my mouth and slowly turn back around to see Callan's pale, still body laying on the chair. D-did she do thi- no, she couldn't have. The body doesn't look fresh, and there is no blood anywhere, but there are multiple wounds planted around his body. 'What happened to you?' I say aloud to myself.
Coraline's pov...
We both sat waiting for Morcar in silence, I don't know why, but we just were. Arielle had sunglasses on, covering her eyes. She didn't look happy at all, but I don't know why, she hasn't said anything. It is like sometimes I look at her and I don't even know who she is, like she is a different person. There will be days where she is so ecstatic and happy and then there will be days like these. Where she shuts the world out and stays quiet. I don't understand her, but then again, we have only known each other for just a month, so I guess there is a lot of filling in I need. It is different for Morcar though, he has known her for years, I guess he can tell what's up without even asking. I wish I had someone like Morcar, but having to travel a lot stopped me from having that.
"Arielle talk to me, what's wrong?" I placed my hand on her shoulder carefully but she didn't move at all, nor say anything. "Arielle?" I say it louder this time. She shakes me off of her and digs into her bag slowly. After searching for something, she pulls out an envelope addressing her name on it, with a blood imprint on it and slams it onto the table. Before I could question her she heads for the door and steps out into the car park.
"Hey, where is Arielle?" Morcar comes running down the stairs looking rather pale. I say nothing but give him the letter that Arielle gave me. He takes the letter and sits down. "This is not good."
"What is it?" I finally built up the courage to actually say anything.
"Callan's dead."
"What?"
"I went to go and get my phone from my- my urr- my room and-"Morcar turned to the side and threw up all over the beige shabby carpet. "Callan's body was resting in the armchair."
