Did not prioritize today >.< So this is (duh I'm cap'n obvious) short soz

The rest of that day Tessie was pretty clingy. She wanted to stay in the same room as me and would rather sit by me doing nothing than play with Cailyn. Which in turn made Cailyn a bit grumpy. So when nap time rolled around they were both stubborn and didn't want to sleep.

"Will you two get into bed, I've given you three warnings! C'mon...hey, hey!" I try to grab Cailyn as she darts past me, escaping the bedroom once again.

"I don't wanna take a nap!!" she protests. I groan and follow after her, Tessie glued to my side. While she isn't running away from nap time like Cailyn is, she's silently protesting. She won't get into bed, neither of them will.

"Cailyn Grace Sandoval!" I say this a little louder than I probably should have, but I'm tired and she's been ignoring everything I've said for the past 15 minutes. She draws to a halt just as she's about to enter the kitchen and watches me draw nearer with wide eyes. "Cailyn, I realize that you don't want to nap. But why?"

"Because..." her eyes won't hold my gaze and she stares at the floor instead. "because I wanna play and Tessie hasn't been playing with me and after we nap she'll have to go and I won't see her again until tomorrow." her lower lip trembles slightly.

I sigh and sit down in the middle of the hallway so I can be on eye level with the two of them. "And what about you Tessie? Why don't you want to nap?" she shrugs and hides her face in my side. "Tessie?"

"I wanna stay with you. Not nap" she says so quietly that I struggle to hear her. I sigh and know I won't get much more out of her, I've asked her a few times today if she wanted to talk about why she didn't want me to leave her, but she wouldn't mention anything about the argument she overheard.

"Well how about, we all nap together? That way Cailyn can be with you and you can be with me?" Plus, I could use the sleep. Win win. Cailyn opens her mouth to speak up but I shush her. "Cailyn, you're tired and don't say you aren't because I saw you yawn a minute ago. You can play with Tessie tomorrow, a lot. She's not going anywhere."

"Okay... fine." Cailyn says, seeming to see that she's not going to be making any more progress.

"Good, let's do that. C'mon, I know both of you don't want to admit it so I will, I'm tired." I shake my head at them and scoop up Cailyn. She doesn't understand why Tessie was being weird today, they're both just children after all. But hopefully she can be reassured that things will be back to normal soon.
