"What? He's already managed to get all the information he needed, so soon?" I gasp. I lean back in my seat, holding my head in one hand in shock. "I thought you said it might take up to two months?"

"Obviously it didn't though. Colin's one of the best in this business, which I knew when I chose him for this job."

"I don't want to know where on earth you found stats for his kind of job. Honestly..." I mutter under my breath. I take a bite of my food and mull over this. If Colin really does have enough information and thinks it's enough for me to have custody over Tessie...well things could be moving very quickly from here. With any luck Liam will be into some sort of rehab or hospital, somewhere that can monitor how he's reacting to his medicines and keep him off alcohol. "Do you have an estimate of when Liam might be better, assuming we can get him committed for treatment somewhere?"

Louis frowns and shakes his head slowly. "I honestly don't know. I'm not sure what procedures would need to be taken, but I'm sure there will be a lot of experimenting going on. Months, perhaps?" He rolls his shoulders in a stretch. "I hope it won't be long before we have Liam back with us and sickeningly sweet and polite as ever."

"He's not always polite." I snicker, remembering just a few of the pranks that Liam's played on Louis before.

"I meant, his normal self." He groans, shaking a finger at me. "Polite or not he's still my best mate, I'll have you know."

"I'll just be on the phone to call and tell Niall and Zayn that then...I'm sure one of them can pass it on to Stan as well," I smirk, flipping my phone around in my hand teasingly.

"How do you...?" realization dawns on him and he laughs aloud, quickly clapping his hands over his mouth when he realizes how loud he was. He composes himself and a gleam comes over his eyes. "I forget, you were a fan. You probably still are a fan if your Spotify library has anything to say about." He sniffs and reaches over to muss Cailyn's hair. "Are you aware that your mother has no life and lives in the past swooning over me and my friends?"

"Umm...maybe?" Caitlyn replies, a little sleepily as she sucks on the popsicle she's having for dessert. "Mommy is friends with me I guess. I don't really like her music though."

"What?" We exclaim in unison and surprise. We exchange looks and burst out in laughter at each others' faces.

"Now Cailyn, let's get one thing straight. Your mother listens to my band's music. She has good taste."

"One Direction aside, I still have good taste!" I protest, throwing my hands in the air, still giggling a little.

"If you say so, mommy." she looks at me out of the corner of her eye then resumes sucking on her popsicle.

I point a finger at Louis. "This is your doing. I never raised her to be this sassy." I cross my arms and huff in exasperation. "Two weeks or so with her and you're already corrupting her!"

Louis is covering his mouth again to keep his laughter from spilling out. He's adorable like that. "I did nothing. I just seem to bring out dormant rebelliousness in people. Toddlers, mothers, boyfriends, random pedestrians, Liams, snakes..."

"You'll have to tell me about the snakes sometime," I tell him with an incredulous look. "No doubt it's a riveting story."

"It was. Just like something out of a J.K. Rowling story." he nods wisely, propping his chair up so he's leaning against the wall with only two of its legs still on the floor.

"Oh someone please help me," I moan while giggling. He's bound to fall over and bump his head and Cailyn has sticky, red juice all over her face from her treat.
