So I missed yesterday -.- Sooooo sorry. I'm grateful I made it what 23 days? I think so...I'm grateful I even made it that far without missing a day. Gimme feedback please, and sorry that this is short....

Several hours later, Liam is knocking on our door to pick up Tessie. It's been a few hours since she first spoke to me. Since then she's been talking more loudly when she's playing with Cailyn. She's also been more vocal about what she likes and doesn't like and hums...a lot!! I've learned she has trouble saying my name and didn't really know what to call me anyway. I help her try out nicknames, until Izzy sticks. Turns out she already had a nickname for Cailyn...

"Good evening," he nods to her casually as Tessie hugs Cailyn goodbye and starts helping to put away toys. "How did the surprise go over?"

"Incredibly well!" I'm practically bouncing from excitement. I had wanted to tell him moments after it happened. "Today, just after giving her the present, Tessie spoke to me. And she hasn't shut up since." I'm beaming and it feels like I could be glowing. I'm so happy.

A slow smile grows on Liam's face. "She talked to you?" He pulls me into a hug, wrapping his strong arms around my shoulder and lower back, squeezing gently. "That's amazing!" he proclaims as he pulls back. "I knew we made the right decision when we chose you to be her nanny."

"I had been wanting to ask, I mean if you don't mind me knowing, how long did it take for her to talk to her last nanny? I mean I know it might be different because she was younger and-" I trail off, knowing I'm rambling, and shrug.

"It was nearly a year. She had been talking to me and Soph for a few months before that. She'd had that nanny practically since she was born." he dances in place a little, letting out some energy. "This is amazing. I can't believe it!!"

"I almost thought that I was hearing things," I laugh, slapping his arm lightly "or maybe that I was dreaming. Ahhhh. I'm so so happy. I may have seemed patient but I was yearning for it to happen." I smile as Tessie runs over to her father's open arms. She smiles up at him, returning the large grin he's giving her. I hand him her bag and takes a step back from the door, pointing at me.

"Tess, say goodbye to Isabella and Cailyn!" he watches her closely, but she's opens her mouth without any hesitation, waving her hand at us too.

"Bye bye Izzy and Lynnie! See you tomahrow." she turns back to look up at Liam, smiling proudly. He kisses her cheek and shakes his head in amazement towards me. I give him a knowing nod and wave them off.
