" oh my god severus! Why are you in the gryffindor tower?"

Lily jumped as she turned and saw severus leaning against the couch in the gryffindor common room.

" Longbottom let me in. I am very tired and i needed to see you IMMEDIATELY." Severus whispered the last word more loudly.

Marlene came up behind severus and knotted her brows, looking at lily confused.

" hey severus. Whatcha doin here?" Marlene asked sweetly.

Severus spun around and raised hie eyebrows, smiling.

" Mckinnon! My favorite gryffindor!" Severus announced.

Lily's face twisted in disbelief and looked at severus who was now side hugging marlene.

" really?" Marlene said smugly.

" of course!"

" okay so he is so obviously drunk, maybe i should take my best friend back."

" wait no!" Severus said and pulled away from lily.

When lily looked at him confused, severus leaned in and whispered.

" the other slytherins are also drunk and they are really loud. They are giving me a headache."

Lily nodded and pat severus' head.

" then why are you whispering?"

" because, i dont want to wake the snakes."

" wait what? What snake- oh ok you have actual snakes." Lily pulled away when two snakes slithered out of his sleeves.

" this one is tofu, this one is wasabi." Severus pointed to his snakes.

One was white and the other was green.

" wait is the white one tofu?"

" no the white one is wasabi."

" then the green one is tofu? Why isnt the green one wasabi?"

" because wasabi is wasabi, we cant have two wasabis."

" but tofu is green and wasabi is white, but wasabi is green and tofu is white so why dont you make the green one wasabi and the white one tofu?"

" ok lily, you're giving the poor drunk man with snakes a head ache." Marlene said pulling severus away.

" can i see?" Marlene asked and severus nodded drunkenly.

She picked up tofu and held it in her hands.

" awww i love snakes. I have 2 back home, love these creatures." Marlene cooed when the snake stuck out its tiny tongue.

" these are very small snakes no?" Marlene asked.

" yeah, i wanted to keep them in my sleeves in case they get lonely, but i got a cage and everything!" He enthusiastically. Marlene nodded and smiled.

" hey you know who else loves snakes?" Lily asked. Severus and marlene snapped their heads to her.

" who?"

" James. Why dont you surprise him?" Lily suggested.

Severus gasped and smiled.

" good idea." He whisper yelled and walked to the stairs.

" hey isnt Potter scared of snakes?"

" terrified."

" then why did you send him up there with a snake."
