|Part Twenty Nine|

|KAKASHI|

We reached our goal the following morning after our run-in with who we thought was Itachi Uchiha. Pakkun had lead us to what looked like a cave blocked off by a large bolder.

"Hey! It's Guy sensei!" One of (Y/N)'s students pointed out.

He was right. Already waiting in front of the cave was Guy and his team.

"Late as always, Kakashi," he said as we approached.

I shrugged off his teasing. "Sorry. We ran into a little trouble along the way."

"Naruto! Sakura!" Rock Lee greeted as we all gathered.

I watched as (Y/N) walked over to stand next to Guy. "It's good to see you, Guy!"

"(Y/N)! What's such a lovely woman doing on a mission such as this?"

(Y/N) laughed and let Guy take ahold of her hand. Jealousy bubbled in my stomach and I looked away from them. I had no right to feel jealous. I was the one making her hide our relationship, so it was my own fault that she wasn't able to stand next to me and hold my hand. Even though that's what I wanted more than anything.

"All right, let's to this, huh Kakashi?" Guy turned to me.

"Right." I nodded.

I looked up at the seal on the face of the bolder. It was obviously some type of barrier, but which kind was the question. Before we could get inside, we would have to dismantle it.

"What're you thinking?" (Y/N) asked, moving to stand next to me.

"It could be a five seal barrier."

"I agree with you," Lady Chiyo piped in.

(Y/N)'s blond student raised a quizzical brow. "What's that? I haven't hear of a five seal barrier before."

"It's a strong seal with five papers with the word "forbidden" written on them. Each paper is sealed at a different location," I explained. "There's one in front of us, so four others have to be hidden elsewhere."

"Can't we just destroy the tags?" (Y/N) asked.

I shook my head. "Yes and no. Each paper is in a different place, but in order for the barrier to be disabled they all have to be taken down at the exact same time."

(Y/N) turned to Neji, the Hyuga Clan shinobi on Guy's team. "Can you locate the other ones?

Neji nodded and created the hand signs for his byakugan. He was silent for a moment before he found the locations.

"I found one on a rock about five hundred meters northeast of here. The second one is on a tree trunk about three hundred and fifty meters south southeast. The third is three hundred and sixty meters northwest on a cliff edge. And the last, is in the woods eight hundred metres away from us."

"If they're that far apart, how will we signal each other?" (Y/N)'s blind student asked.

"Let us handle that!" Guy bellowed, pulling a few ear pieces out of his bag.

He handed one to me. "My team will use Neji's directions to find the other tags. On our signal tear yours off, got it?"

"Yeah." I nodded. "Good luck."

Guy and his team scattered, leaving eight of us standing in front of the fifth barrier tag.

"Listen everyone, the plan is simple," I began. "I will wait for Guy's signal to tear the seal, and when I do, Sakura and Jin will destroy the bolder. (Y/N), you and everyone else will stand alert and charge in to save Gaara once the block is gone. Understand?"
