A deep chuckle came from the man in front of us. "By making your clone act as if it was real, you diverted my attention to it. However—"

"Kakashi! Watch out!" I yelled, seeing the real Zabuza appear behind him.

"—I'm not that easy to kill."

Zabuza plunged his blade into the dirt, using it to fuel his momentum and round house kick Kakashi in the chest.

"Sensei!" Naruto screamed.

I could faintly see Kakashi's figure out on the water, Zabuza standing over him.

"Water Prison jutsu." A sphere of water surrounded Kakashi.

"Now then Kakashi, I'll finish you off later. For now, I'm going to kill the rest of your team."

"Crap," I mumbled.

"Everyone!" Kakashi called across the water. "Take Tazuna and run! You can't win against him!"

"You can't be serious!" I angrily yelled back at him.

Zabuza let out a hearty laugh.

Sasuke ran past me, kunai in hand. "We can't just wait!"

"Sasuke, no!" I called, trying to stop him by grabbing his arm.

He pulled out of my grasp and jumped up to attack Zabuza.

"Water Wall jutsu!"

An irruption of water shot up from the pond, blocking Sasuke from reaching Zabuza and sending our opponent flying backwards.

"You kids stay back! Didn't you heard your sensei? This guy is way outside your league," I said in frustration.

Zabuza recovered and walked towards us. "Very interesting. There was a water style ninja here the whole time. It'll be nice to fight against someone like me. Let's find out who's stronger."

I flipped back towards the kids just as a water wall twice the size of my own burst from the ground.

"You two—" I pointed to Sasuke and Naruto. "Since you can't stand still, find a way to break your sensei free. I'll handle this Zabuza."

I got nods of confirmation from the two boys.

"The rest of you stay in formation!"

Zabuza's water wall disappeared and he walked towards me. "Running away isn't going to help you."

I stood my ground and waited for him to come a bit closer

"Water Twister jutsu!"

A cyclone of wind twisted in between us. Water from the pond was sucked up inside, creating a tornado of wind and water.

My jutsu barrelled towards Zabuza.

"Water Style: Great Waterfall technique!"

A surge of water came down and took out my twister, then pressed on in my direction.

"Wind Waves jutsu!" Three blades of wind sliced through the air and cut through Zabuza's water jutsu.

He jumped back, and instead of using another jutsu he readied his sword.

Great. I thought.

Reaching into the pouch on my leg, I pulled out a small scroll. I unravelled it to expose the seal inside then I clasped my hands, and in a puff of steam an Odachi appeared in my hand.
