AN:
I know this time skip feels random and awkward... but I promise it'll make sense more in the upcoming chapters. There is a reason behind my madness. . .

~One Year Later~I stood in front of Lady Tsunade with Amari next to me, and standing by the Hokage's side was Sakura.
I couldn't help but sneer when I saw her. She never wanted to be a medical nin, but as soon as she was given the opportunity she huddled right under Lady Tsunade's wing.
"There's a man I believe to be selling chakra enhancing drugs," Tsunade spoke. "I've personally never heard of such a drug, but I need the three of you to go undercover and collect as much information as you can."
"Three of us? Is (Y/N) sensei coming too?" I asked.
Lady Tsunade leaned back in her chair. "No. Sakura will be joining the two of you on this mission. Because there's the involvement of drugs, I think it's a good idea to have a capable medical nin assist."
My hands curled into fists and I stared at the floor.
I noticed Amari roll his eyes and he stepped forward to take an envelope from the Hokage's hand.
"That envelope contains all the information you'll need. Report back when you're finished."
Amari and I bowed respectfully before leaving the room. Sakura followed closely behind us.
"What does the envelope say?" She asked.
Before I could help myself, I snapped a response back at her. "We don't know, Sakura. We haven't opened it yet."
She shot me a glare before snatching the letter Tsunade gave us from Amari's hands. He didn't look too impressed with either of us.
She ripped open the envelope and read it as we walked, then paraphrased it for Amari and I.
"It says that there's only one known dealer of the drug. His name is Mako Midori, and the only information he's given us about his employer is that he has an obsession with blonde women, and that he hangs around the lower districts to stay hidden."
"That's not much to go off," Amari said, then snatched the letter back to inspect it himself.
"So our first step is to find this Mako guy?" I asked.
Sakura shook her head. "He was already questioned for all the information he had. Locating him would just be a waste of time."
"She's right," Amari agreed, glancing at me over his shoulder. "Our best bet would be to start in the lower districts. Try and find a way to appeal to this guy so that he'll approach us."
I hung behind Sakura and Amari as we walked out into the beaming, hot sun and made our way down the street. They seemed to understand what needed to be done for the mission more than I did.
"How are we supposed to appeal to him? This letter lists nothing useful," Sakura groaned, and Amari nodded in agreement.
"It does say that he likes blonds," I mentioned.
My response gained an eye roll from Amari. "And where exactly are we supposed to find a blond woman to catch his eye? The only one I can think of is Ino and I'd rather dig my own grave than work with her."
Sakura stopped walking and we made eye contact before slowly turning our gazes over to the blond standing next to us.
"What? Why are you two staring at me?"
