HENDRIX'S POV:
I glanced back at Trixie, she was drunk. Out of all the times she could've been wasted, she chose now. She smiled at me, at least she wouldn't remember any of this by morning.
"Come here, Trix" said Brooks. I felt her move forward behind me and stood my ground.
"Hendrix cmonn" her words were slurred which only incited more fear in me over what Brooks would do if he got his hands on her.
"She doesn't know you work for us" I said to Brooks "I thought you didn't want her to know". I spoke to him as Trixie leaned into my back, closing her eyes.
The quicker she fell asleep the less I'd have to explain.
"I said she was going to find out at some point" he said "that can be now if you hand her over"
I shook my head, moving closer to her. She was at her weakest right now. I already knew what was going to happen if I let her leave this room. Mattia Polibio might hate me, but I loved his daughter. And while everyone wanted her dead, I wanted her in my future. More than anything.
"Fuck you" I said, pulling out a gun quicker than his soldiers. I shot all three of them in the head. Trixie gasped and held onto me. Brooks watched their bodies drop before turning back to me with a smile.
"You really think I'm only bringing three men with me, Rosario?"
"My head hurts so much" whined Trixie, stepping out in front of me. I tried to grab her arm but she stumbled away quickly.
"Trixie!" I shouted angrily. I was doing everything I could to save her life yet she wasn't letting me.
"Did you not hear me?" she said, glaring at me "I said my fucking head hurts so you decide to yell at me?"
Just as I opened my mouth Brooks reached over and wrapped a hand around her arm, pulling her towards him. I raised my gun at him but he pressed it against the side of Trixie's head.
"Shoot me" he smirked "I dare you"
My finger traced the trigger just as I saw the fear in Trixie's eyes. My heart ached and I dropped my gun onto the floor and raised my hands above my head.
"Please, Brooks"
"Shut up, Rosario" he said "you were only going to kill her as well, there was no real love there"
TRIXIE'S POV:
My eyes widened as Brooks finished his sentence. Hendrix started shaking his head, looking at me.
"That's not fucking true" he argued.
"Isn't it?" I said, pulling myself away from Brooks "I don't wanna believe him at all but at the same time I kinda do"
"Why!?" I said, raising my voice "I've done nothing but try to protect you, you're just drunk". Brooks grabbed her arm and handed her to a soldier who walked her towards the exit.
"If you touch one hair-"
"You'll do what?" interrupted Brooks "kill me? Huh? You can't do shit to me, Rosario. Not as long as she's got you wrapped round her lil finger"
I pressed my lips together as he laughed to himself and left the room behind Trixie and the soldiers.
LEVI'S POV:
"You seriously chose this place over the strip club?"
I laughed at Cole's comment as we got out the car and walked over to the club.
"This club's better" I said "besides there's too many hoes at the other place and we're here now so shut the fuck up and let's go get drunk already"
Cole rolled his eyes at me as we walked over to the bouncer who smiled and let us skip the line. We were never supposed to tell our friends about our mafia lifestyle but Cole had always been like a brother to me. He was an exception.
"Two trays of shots, please" he told the bartender as we took our seats. I looked out at everyone but something grabbed my attention.
A man was holding a woman by the arm, dragging her out the club. Not even a woman, a teenager.
"Aye imma be right back" I said, patting Cole who nodded at me. I followed them towards the exit as I took out my gun. I recognised the girl immediately.
"Trixie!" I heard someone yell from the other side of the club. My head snapped around but I couldn't make out his face for shit. It was too dark. I assumed it was one of her friends and tried to keep my cool but it was only getting harder.
As soon as I was outside the club, I pulled out my gun, firing two bullets into to the guy holding onto Trixie's arm. He fell to the ground but was quickly picked up by his soldiers and carried away.
He wasn't dead but he should've been way up in the clouds by now.
I paused for a second before running over to Trixie and wrapping my arms around her. I calmed her down when I felt her whole body shaking. My eyes started heating up as I imagined what would've happened if I didn't see her.
"W-We can't tell Mom and Dad about this" she said, her voice trembling as she clutched onto me.
"No no, don't worry about that right now" I said, resting my head on hers "are you okay?"
TRIXIE'S POV:
I nodded, wiping my eyes quickly. Levi let go of me and observed me, studying me carefully for any signs of anxiety or upset in any kind of way. I wasn't even upset about the Brooks situation.
I was upset over how quickly Hendrix had let me walk out with him. How he didn't put a bullet through Brooks' head when he pulled me away.
I looked over Levi's shoulder and saw him standing at the exit, he didn't dare come any closer.
