TRIXIE'S POV:

"Where was everyone?" asked Hendrix as we got into his car. I put my seatbelt on as I looked at the house.

"Basement, I guess" I said "probably trying to figure out how to kill your family"

"I'd help if they asked me" he said, rolling his eyes. I looked at him with a faint smile as we pulled out of my driveway and he entered the address into his gps.

-

"I hate coming here" sighed Hendrix as we arrived in his neighbourhood. I placed my hand on his and leaned over, kissing his cheek softly. His face turned red as he fought a smile.

"What was that for?" he asked, furrowing his brows slightly.

"I love you" I said, nodding my head. He started grinning and held my chin, pulling my face towards him and meeting my lips with his.

"I love you more" he said against my lips as I opened my eyes, watching his pupils dilate as I stared into
them.

"I'll get Daisy" I said, getting out the car. He laughed at how awkward I got and followed me, slipping his hand in mine as we walked towards the house. I knocked on the front door before going back to Hendrix. He laced an arm around my waist as I heard a key turning in the lock.

The door opened and a girl around my age appeared. She had smooth brown skin with small freckles underneath her eyes.

"Oh you're Daisy's brother!" she said, smiling at Hendrix and dismissing me.

"Yeah, I came to pick her up" he said blankly. But she stepped out, wrapping her arms around him. He looked at me over her shoulder without hugging her back.

"Let go of me, Josie" he said, holding onto her arms and pushing her off "I came for my sister"

She looked at me then back at him, narrowing her eyes as she wisely chose her next words.

"Who's she?"

"The wife" he said, placing his arm back around my waist and pulling me closer to him to confirm it. She gave me a cold stare as I smiled back at her. I didn't have to say anything, her blood was already boiling.

"Trixie!" shouted Daisy from behind, running through the hallway.

"Hey bestie" I grinned, kneeling down as she ran into my arms. She wrapped her arms around my neck and giggled nervously as she pulled away.

"You smell nice" she said shyly, holding my face in her hands. I chuckled at her little comment and picked her up in my arms so I could stand up properly.

"Bye, Josie" said Daisy brightly. But she glared back at Daisy coldly. I moved my hand to my jacket, using my hand to pull it back, revealing the gun. Her eyes widened slightly as she looked back at Daisy.

"Bye Daisy!" she said quickly, waving at her a little too excitedly. I smiled at her, letting go of my jacket.

"Much better" I said, walking away from her. Daisy started telling me about her play date as we got to Hendrix's car. I listened to her but I also heard him talking to her.

"Are you kidding? She threatened me"

I glanced behind my shoulder to see Hendrix shrug casually, looking at me.

"Don't fuck with her again" he said, walking over to us as I pulled the seatbelt over Daisy. Hendrix smacked my ass when he was behind me and Daisy's head shot up.

"Why did you hit Trixie!?" she yelled, trying to throw hands at him. Hendrix looked at me for an answer but I simply laughed at him.

"I didn't hit her-"

"Yes you did!" she argued "so to make it up to me you can get me McDonald's on the way home"

Hendrix tried to object but she reached forward and grabbed the car door with both hands, slamming it shut in his face. He glared at her through the window before coming over to his side.

"Yeah, you're gonna make a great Dad" I said sarcastically. He gave me the same glare as he put his seatbelt on.

MATTIA'S POV:

"Is this the place?" asked Kairi. I looked at the text on my phone and nodded slowly.

Kyle had sent me a text from an unknown number but it was clearly him. I looked down at my phone as we approached the abandoned building.

Come alone

"Wait here" I said to Kairi and the two soldiers. Kairi furrowed his eyebrows, looking at me.

"Where the fuck is your gun?"

"Having a weapon will just provoke him, I need him to trust me"

"Are you stupid? You're a mafia leader" said Kairi, becoming annoyed "the second you step in there he's going to try kill you"

"Just wait here" I said, ignoring him and getting out the car. I walked into the building, ringing the number as I started walking up a flight of stairs.

"Hello?"

"Where are you?" I asked him, hearing him laugh on the other side of the line.

"I can't believe you actually came!" he exclaimed. I pressed my lips together. If I freaked out it'd only work as a disadvantage. I had to stay calm, no matter how hard he made it.

"Fourth floor, brother" he said "and get here quick, we have a lot of catching up to do"

He cut the call before I could speak. I felt my adrenaline starting to kick in as I reached the floor, pushing open a wooden door. He was sitting on one end, smiling when he saw me. A soldier came up to me but I took a step back.

"He's just going to search you" said Kyle, stretching out and putting his hands behind his head.

I put my arms up as he searched me for any weapons. I thanked my lucky stars that I'd left the gun in the car.

"Clear" said the soldier, walking away from me.

"Excellent" said Kyle "take a seat". He gestured to the chair in front of him. I hesitated at first but then walked over to him, sitting in the wooden chair.

"What do you want?"

"Honestly?" said Kyle, leaning forward in his chair. He clasped his hands together, staring at me.

"I want to hurt you and your wife"

"What?" my head jerked backwards as he spoke. Setting off every emotion linked to anger off inside of me.

"Well, you mostly. Your wife is just a bonus"
