TRIXIE'S POV:

I had just made it back into bed when the door opened. Dad appeared from behind, narrowing his eyes at me as he looked around my room.

"Yes?" I asked, staring at him. I felt my heart beating out of my chest when he spoke.

"I heard another voice in here" he said. I laughed, waving my hand at him as I switched channels.

"I'm sure it was the TV" I said, shaking my head but he walked into my room, looking around again. I looked at my walk in wardrobe and held my breath. I felt the hairs on my arms standing up as I bit the inside of my cheek.

"Don't talk shit, Trixie" he said, staring at me. His voice was low and it was frightening if anything.

"Who else is in this room?"

"Dad I told you, there's literally no one else in here"

He stared at me, nodding his head slowly as he walked over to the TV and turned it off. I glared at him as I threw the remote on the bed sheets.

"Are you sure about that?" he asked.

"Positive" I said, nodding my head "can you please leave now?"

"No" he said. He took a deep breath, looking out my window "well in that case, you won't mind me taking a look around right?"

He started walking towards the closet and I jumped out of bed, getting his attention.

"Yes, I mind!"

"Too bad" he said, pulling open the closet doors. I covered my mouth with my hand as he stepped inside.

"You can't just walk in-"

"Shh" he pressed his finger against his lips and I froze out of fear. We both heard a hanger move and I squeezed my eyes shut as Dad looked to his right.

Brooks' eyes were wide as they both stared at each other. Dad inhaled deeply whilst moving back the clothes.

"Get out" he said slowly, standing to aside so Brooks could get past. They both walked out the closet, Dad looking at me angrily.

"I came up here to apologise" he said "cause your Mom thought I was too harsh on you earlier"

He stared at us both with disgust written all over his face "but I don't think I was harsh enough".

"Dad I-"

"No shut up Trixie" he said loudly "I don't wanna hear anymore stupid excuses"

"Sir" said Brooks. I looked at him in horror, wondering why he was so desperate to get his head blown off. Dad stared at him coldly.

"Don't be mad at Trixie, this was my idea to come back" he said "I should've gone home but please don't be mad at her".

"Why the fuck are you still here!?" shouted Dad. We both jumped out of our skin and Brooks looked at me sadly.

"I'll see you later" he whispered before walking out my room. I sighed, watching him leave for good this time. I walked back over to my bed and pulled the covers over my head, ignoring my Dad.

"If you ever try pull something like that again" he said, coming up to me "I won't be as nice".

I rolled my eyes, hearing the door close. My Dad never took my feelings into consideration. It was always what he wanted.

Stupid fucking mafia leader.

LEVI'S POV:

I walked through the mall, noticing a girl in a blue denim jacket and black jeans. I gently tapped her shoulder, smiling at her when she noticed me.

"Hey!" she said, wrapping her arms around me. I smiled too, embracing her.

We got food and were sat at a table, talking about our families and life in general. Being in a mafia made dating difficult since I never got to fully open up to them.

"So what do your parents do?" she asked. I took a deep breath, trying to think of a lie.

"Dad's a doctor and Mom's..." my mind went black as she nodded her head for me to continue.

"Unemployed" I blurted out, what the fuck. A saddened expression washed over her as she reached across the table for my hand.

"Oh I'm sorry, that must be so hard for her" she said. I smiled at her, shaking my head.

"She manages" I said.

"My Mom was in that difficult place a few years ago"

"Oh yeah? What's her name?" I asked.

"Maria"

I nodded my head slowly, taking a sip from my drink before an idea came into my head.

"Hey" I said, reaching across the table and holding onto her hand. She looked at me wearily before nodding at me to continue "why don't you and your Mom come over to dinner tonight?"

Her eyes went wide for a second before she gently pulled her hand back with a small frown.

"This is literally out first date" she said "don't you think it's a little soon to be meeting each others' families already?"

"Sure but-"

"And" she interrupted "we're kinda waiting for my Dad to get home from his business trip, so many be after he gets back?"

"Sounds like a dinner party" I said with a small smile, nodding my head. We finished up before leaving the mall to walk to my car.

"Should I drop you off at home?"

"I'm good" she said, gesturing towards the subway. I nodded awkwardly and went to my car after saying goodbye.

She was different to most girls I'd dated but somehow I was intrigued to know her more.
