Prepare For The Worst

TRIXIE'S POV:

I pulled the bulletproof vest over my red hoodie as I stood in the basement with everyone else.

"Go through it again" ordered Mom, handing me bulletproof shoulder and leg pads. The soldier nodded and turned back to the large screen.

"Levi and Trixie to go through to the basement, Olivia to go to the front door and Mattia to enter through the roof" he said, quickly taking a breath as he finished.

Mom smiled calmly and nodded her head slowly. Another soldier walked in and joined the other thirty who were standing around me and Mom.

"You all know your place" she said "if you mess this up I'll mess up your fucking lives"

I watched as a few of them shifted uneasily in their place. I felt a small smile on my face knowing they were frightened of my parents like that.

"You five" she said, pointing at five large men as Dad and Levi walked in, also ready and suited up. 

"Stay near Trixie and Levi, don't let them get hurt"

"I still don't think this should be Trixie's first ever mission, Mom" said Levi.

"Too late, this is my mission and I'm calling the shots" I said before anyone else could answer him.

"You two" she said, ignoring him and pointing at the smaller two "have you got your snipers and the equipment?". They nodded quickly. Holding up two large bags.

"The rest of you" she said "just don't fuck up"

"Yes Boss" they said in unison. I looked over at Mom as she smiled proudly at them.

"Can I say something or do you think she'll kill me?" whispered Dad to me. I laughed at his comment, it was actually nice to see him not being moody with me for once. I missed it.

"Time check" said Mom, looking at the soldier by the laptops.

"8:25"

"Okay" she said, taking a few breaths to calm herself down. She handed me a silver gun which somehow fit perfectly in my hand. It was like I'd always been ready for it. There was a sparkle in her eyes as she spoke to me.

"Let's go kill some people, Trix"
