OLIVIA'S POV:

"Okay, they're on their way with Daisy" I said, checking my phone. Hendrix let out a relieved sigh and sat back in his bed.

"Thank you" he said. I opened my mouth to say something but Mattia walked in the room. Bringing the awkward atmosphere with him. He looked over at Hendrix with a blank expression.

"Just sit down, Mattia" I said, but he ignored me, walking over to Hendrix's bed.

"Give me one reason" he said, slowly pulling a gun out of his pocket "why I shouldn't kill you right here right now"

"Cause your daughter would never forgive you" he said bluntly. He wasn't even scared of him.

"And neither will I" I said. Mattia lowered his weapon, glaring at me "now come and sit down". He shook his head, looking at Hendrix.

"You should be dead" he whispered loudly enough for me to hear.

"Mattia!" I shouted, standing up and walking over to him "are you seriously doing this right now?"

"Why not?" he argued back "he's going to kill Trix"

"No he's not!" I yelled "he cares about her, he's nothing like Alejandro or Maria"

"Don't tell me you believe that" said Mattia.

"I swear-"

But I was cut off by the doors being opened by one of our soldiers. I turned around to see a little girl running in, she didn't notice anyone but Hendrix. She ran past Trixie and through Mattia and I, straight into Hendrix's arms.

"Daisy!" he had the biggest smile on his face as he picked her up onto his bed.

"What the heck happened!?" she squealed, holding his face in her tiny hands. I smiled at them both, grabbing my stupid husband's hand and walking towards the door.

"I wasn't done-"

"Shut your mouth" I said, walking out the ward and closing the door behind us.

"How could you say something like that? 'You should be dead' what the fuck is that?" I said to him, but he rolled his eyes which only made me angrier.

"I can't believe you're defending him, he's a murderer" he said "once Trixie's awake, we're taking her home and I'll make sure she never sees him again". I tried to argue but he walked away from me towards the reception.

"I swear I'm this close to breaking your arm" I said, my hands curling up into fists as I followed him down the corridor but he stopped and quickly turned around, resulting in me walking into him.

"Do it" he said, looking down at me.

"Fuck you, Mattia" I said, watching a small smirk grow across his face.

"Like I said, do it"

"I hate-"

"Mr and Mrs Polibio?"

We both turned around to see a nurse walking over to us with a clipboard and a small smile. I plastered a fake smile on my face as Mattia cleared his throat.

"Yes?" we said at the same time before glaring at each other.

"Trixie just woke up"

"What!?" I gasped, running towards her room with Mattia close behind "see what happens when you try make everything about you?"

He ignored me as I yelled at him. I opened the door and ran inside to see Trixie talking to Daisy.

"Baby!" I exclaimed, running over to her and hugging her. She hugged me back tightly just as Daisy hopped off her bed and went to sit with her brother to watch us.

"I'm sorry, Ma" she said, her eyes becoming glassy as I pulled away from her.

"You and Hendrix have both apologised now and neither of you have anything to be sorry for" I said, wiping her eyes as I felt my own heating up.

"Where's Dad?" she asked. I turned around to see Mattia standing outside, his back to us.

"Give me a second, baby" I said, getting up from the bed. But before I could leave the room, someone caught my attention.

"Are you Trixie's Mom?"

I turned to see Daisy running over to me but staying a small distance away. I smiled at her, kneeling down to the ground so we were level.

"I am, who are you?" I asked, knowing perfectly well who she was.

"I'm Daisy Rosario" she said "you're pretty"

I laughed a little at how cute she was. Children were always straight up with how they felt because they were never scared of anything. Just like her brother, she had pure intentions.

There was no way these were Maria's Petrovas' children.

"Thank you honey, but you're prettier" I winked at her. Her mouth formed a small 'o' shape as she looked back at Hendrix.

"Did you hear that? She just called me pretty!" she said, completely starstruck. I chuckled as she ran back over to him, allowing me to slip out the room for a second.

"What are you doing out here when your daughter is in there?" I said to him. He stayed with his back to me, completely ignoring me.

"Mattia" I punched him lightly in his back, waiting for him to pay some attention to me.

"I hate it"

"Hate what?" I asked, looking at him in confusion. He turned around, his face was red with anger.

"All of you" he said "acting as if you're a fucking family. I saw the way you looked at the kid"

"If by 'the kid' you mean Daisy, then yes I was speaking to her" I said, watching him scoff as he started pacing back and forth.

"Mattia, she's four years old, what did you expect me to do? Start interrogating her or something?"

"She's an enemy" he said.

"She's a child!" I yelled, receiving unpleasant stares from around us "a child who deserves a normal life"

"Well her life isn't normal" he said "it'll never be normal so long as she's his daughter"

"That's not her fault, though"

"Are you sure you're on my side here?" he said, narrowing his eyes at me.

"Sides? I'm sorry but I'm not picking sides when it comes to children. If it were Alejandro or Maria in there then we both know this would've been a lot different" I said.

"Nah, fuck you"

"No, fuck you Mattia" I said "you're supposed to be my husband and support me through this but instead it's just like I've got a third child to look after right now"

"Please" he scoffed "didn't you see the way you were talking to his daughter? Literally as if she was your third fucking child"

"You're insane" I said "and fuck you for saying that"
