TRIXIE'S POV:

I walked into the kitchen and took a seat with Mom and Dad as the butler handed me a plate of food with a chirpy smile.

"Thank you" I said quietly, picking up my fork. I could feel my parents eyes on me as the servants left the kitchen. The silence was deafening. Levi strolled in, sitting next to me but frowning when he sensed the tension between everyone.

"Can you remember what she looked like?" asked Dad, leaning forward in his seat. I shook my head, placing my cutlery down on the plate.

"I told you, I only remember she was wearing a black business suit"

"Yeah but, hair, eyes, nothing?"

"Seriously, Dad?" interrupted Levi "she's had the most traumatic four days, she just steps back into her house and you think now is the best time for a full on interrogation?"

Dad looked at Levi at narrowed his eyes. He opened his mouth to say something but Mom held his hand.

"He's right baby, let Trixie eat in peace"

Her voice was gentle compared to anyone else's. She was the only person Dad would listen to, the only person who could make him see sense.

Their relationship was everything to me.

We continued eating until the servants came back in and took our plates.

"Can I ask you questions now?" asked Dad eagerly. Levi glared at him across the table.

"What? I waited till after diner, didn't I?" he said, raising his arms in surrender. Mom laughed at him and shook her head.

"Go to bed Trixie" she said "you need to rest right now. I'll check on you in a while". I nodded and stood up but Dad stopped me first.

"Dad I really don't-"

"No no, listen" he said, placing a small band around my wrist "if anything happens whilst we're not there, your pulse will obviously raise and it'll alert one of us straight away"

I smiled gratefully and kissed his cheek before going up to bed. I was too tired for anything and got changed into my nightwear. My phone started ringing as I got into bed and I saw that it was him.

I sighed and declined the call. Over the next hour, he left me almost twenty missed calls and three texts.

Hendrix: can you just answer?

Hendrix: why are you ignoring me? why are you so mad?

Hendrix: if you don't answer i'm coming over

I rolled my eyes. He knew better than to come over after everything that'd happened. He wouldn't even make it to the front door before getting shot.

HENDRIX'S POV:

I sighed when she left me on seen. I was about to call her before my Mom barged into my room.

"What's this?" she asked, pointing to a bag of clothes on my floor. I sat up when I noticed they were Trixie's from the hotel. I was planning on giving them back but I didn't know when or how.

"I had a girl over" I said quickly. She raised her eyebrows and gave me a proud smile.

"What's her name?"

"Lucy" I said the first name that came to my head, hoping she'd hurry up and leave already.

"That's cute" she said, looking around before walking out my room again.
