TRIXIE'S POV:

"8'o clock sound good?"

"I'll be ready" I said, cutting the call and getting out of bed. I looked at the time, it was only 5pm. I had time to go get my nails done and find a cute dress.

I walked out of my room and into Mom's to see her doing her makeup.

"Ma, I have a dilemma" I said, taking a seat on her bed. She stopped applying eyeshadow and turned to look at me.

"Talk to me, baby"

"I'm going out tonight with Cole"

"Levi's friend?" she said, her eyes going wide "but aren't they like really good friends?"

"That's the problem!" I exclaimed. She thought about it for a second before standing up and going over to the alcohol cabinet. I watched as she got out a glass and filled it with whiskey before coming to sit next to me on the bed.

"Okay" she said, taking a sip "have you caught feelings yet?"

"No"

"Oh thank god" she said, pretending to wipe sweat off her brow "cause then it would've been worse"

"But what if I do? I mean a lot can happen in one night"

"Oh honey you can't" she said, shaking her head "that'll be so awkward for Levi but then again your Dad lets him get away with murder so"

"So?"

"So just do it" she said "plus I'm not exactly squeaky clean when it comes to relationships"

"What did you do?" I asked. She took another sip from the glass, squeezing her eyes as the alcohol travelled down her throat.

"Dated Alejandro when your Dad was best friends with him"

My jaw dropped. I knew my Mom was somewhat scandalous when it came to men but I didn't know she was this scandalous.

"Are you kidding!?" I said, sitting up "what did Dad do?"

"Oh my god, I'm not getting into it" she said, getting off the bed and taking her glass with her as she resumed her makeup.

"What I'm saying is, you only live once baby, plus your Dad doesn't hate Cole so you might have a shot at a decent relationship"

"You think?"

"I do, I know you'll figure this out, you're my daughter so you're basically a fighter & a lover" she said, winking at me.

"Thanks, Ma" I said, getting up and giving her a hug "so how was your meeting?"

"Oh don't" she said, taking a longer sip from the glass in her hand "it was so extra, I mean it was a waste of time and it left your Dad paranoid.

"Paranoid? About what?"

"He thinks Alejandro's son, Hendrix, is out to get you"

I felt my stomach twist. It was becoming a regular thing everytime I heard his name. I did my best to act clueless as she kept talking.

"He's dangerous and stronger than you"

Trust me, I know. I remembered him dragging the pocketknife across my skin with his lips on my neck. Him pinning me against his bathroom wall, and the kitchen counter and his bedroom wall.

"Trixie?" said Mom, snapping me out of it "why's your face gone all red?"

"C-Cole" I lied "I'm thinking about Cole"

"Oh God" she said "just use protection at least"

"Shut up" I laughed, walking out of her room. I went downstairs to see Dad and Levi in the kitchen.

"What are you doing?" I asked. They both looked up at me and for the first time they actually didn't hide all the papers.

"Figuring out how I'm going to kill Alejandro's son"

I looked at Levi as I felt my throat running dry. I felt so extremely sick. I couldn't stay in there.

"Have fun" I said, my voice slightly higher as I quickly walked out the kitchen. Then I realised if I knew then I'd be able to get Hendrix out of death's way.

"Wait" I said, walking back in "so how are you doing it then? Have you decided yet?"

"With a gun" said Levi bluntly.

"No, you idiot" I said, rolling my eyes "like where, when?"

"Oh, no idea" he said "we're still figuring it out, probably not for a few weeks, to be honest". I nodded, walking out the kitchen again. Hendrix could handle a bullet. But the thought of them going anywhere near Daisy just made my blood boil.

It was enough to drive me out of this house.

I knew they wouldn't. But the chances were never zero when it came to them both.
