NARRATION

Hendrix held onto Trixie's hand the whole way to the church. She couldn't stop crying even if she tried. Everything she saw, everything she heard.

She saw him in everything.

"We're here" whispered Hendrix, leaning towards her and gently brushing her bangs out of her face.

"Go" she said "I'm not going"

"Trixie-"

"I said go" she said bluntly "my brother isn't dead"

Hendrix took a deep breath, looking out the tinted windows as he saw several soldiers carry the golden casket. He looked slightly to his right and saw Olivia and Mattia standing together as they watched their son being taken in.

Olivia squeezed her eyes shut as she cried, Mattia clutching onto her as he wept with her.

He turned back to Trixie with a desperate look. She ignored him, looking out the windows onto the other side of the road instead.

"Fine" he said "but you're doing Levi a great injustice if you really don't get out this car"

Trixie glared at him, she felt as though couldn't be happy anymore. The only emotion she had was sadness. Sadness and anger.

"Go!" she shouted "go look at some guy's body in a casket but that guy is not Lenny"

"Yes he is!" yelled Hendrix.

"I know this is so fucking hard for you to accept and all I'm trying to do is make it easier for you but you won't let me!"

Trixie stared at him as he yelled at her. His eyes slowly filling up with tears with each word he screamed. She leaned forward, putting her head in her hands as Hendrix sighed, putting his head on her back.

"I just don't understand" she cried.

"What? What don't you understand, baby? Talk to me, I'm begging you, Trix"

She looked at him, she was so grateful for him. No one understood her the way he did.

"I don't understand how I'm at my brothers funeral, I don't understand how I'm meant to live the rest of my life without him. I don't understand how I'm meant to graduate or get married or do anything without him"

She felt the tears coming down her face as he wiped his away. He didn't know what to say. He so badly wanted to make her feel better.

But how? She was broken without her brother.

"He wants to see you, baby" he said, slowly taking her hand and opening the car door. He stepped out, wiping his face again to get rid of tear streaks.

He held her hand, helping her out as her parents looked in her direction. In a way, she hadn't seen them for a month either. It was as if Levi's death had caused a wall between the four of them.

"Baby" said Liv, running over to her daughter and pulling her into a hug. Hendrix watched them cry in each other's arms as he looked at the ground. He could sense Mattia coming closer to him. But he wasn't trying to play nice today.
