ALEJANDRO'S POV:
I sat in the kitchen, staring at the glass of alcohol in front of me. I heard Maria walk in, probably angry about something new.
"Apparently Hendrix is in hospital" she said, getting a glass for herself and coming to sit opposite me.
"I heard" I said, taking a sip from my glass.
"He was shot by Polibio's son"
"I heard"
"So what the fuck do we do?" she said "we haven't even visited him yet, I don't even know where the other kid is"
"She's called Daisy" I said, keeping my eyes on the glass. I was tipsy but had it controlled.
"Same thing" she said. Maria had never wanted kids. She made that clear to me everyday. To me and to the kids. But I told her I'd leave her if she didn't give me kids. She had no choice. I didn't care.
"She's at the hospital" I said "Hendrix told me he asked the soldiers to take her to see him"
"What the fuck even happened?" she said.
"Like you said, he was shot"
"Yeah but how-"
"He was probably being irresponsible" I said, circling the rim of the glass with my finger "you should visit him"
"No, I have important things to do" she said.
"He's your son, Maria" I said calmly, tracing the outline of the crystal design on the glass.
"He's yours too" she said.
"We need a plan" I said "we need to bring Carlos in"
She looked at me, her eyes slightly wide as I mentioned his name. Wide with excitement. Not fear. There was no fear in her when it came to killing or hurting people.
"I'll call him" she said, getting her phone out "but for who? The kid who shot Hendrix?"
"No" I said "he's too strong, the other one. The younger one. The girl"
TRIXIE'S POV:
"When are you coming back?" I asked Mom as she hugged me.
"Maybe tonight, if not definitely tomorrow" she said sadly "your Dad's being so fucking extra for no reason". I laughed as she rolled her eyes, going over to Hendrix and Daisy.
I watched as Daisy quickly put down her iPad and looked up at Mom with a shy smile.
"Hiii" she said dreamily, making everyone laugh.
"Hey baby" said Mom softly, caressing her little face with her hand.
"Wait, I don't think they're gonna let you stay here with me" said Hendrix to Daisy, suddenly becoming very concerned.
"If it's okay" she said "I'll take her to our place and bring her again tomorrow?"
Hendrix thought about it for a second. I knew he was thinking about how his parents would react. So was I but Mom wasn't.
"I genuinely don't care what Alejandro has to say about it this, if he really cared he would've been here" said Mom. I felt myself smiling at how bold she was. She was honestly everything.
"You're right" said Hendrix. Daisy smiled and took Mom's hand, hopping off the bed.
"Do you have candy at your house?"
"Oh I have so much candy" said Mom. I laughed cause I knew that was the biggest lie ever. Daisy came over to me as I watched Mom make a phone call.
OLIVIA'S POV:
"Go to the nearest store and buy every kind of candy you can find. Quickly" I ordered to one of the soldiers.
"Yes Ma'am" I cut the call and looked over at Trixie and Daisy having a conversation.
"Can I sleep in your bed?" she's asked.
"Yeah you can sleep in my bed" said Trixie, trying not to laugh. I smiled as my heart went warm. It was nice to finally see Trixie laughing and happy. She deserved happiness.
No matter who it was with. I just wished Mattia saw it the same way I did. I feared he never would.
"Okay let's get outta here" I said as Daisy took my hand "say bye to the lovebirds". She giggled and waved at them as they rolled their eyes and waved back.
-
"Your house is so big!" squealed Daisy as I pulled into the driveway.
"Thanks, honey" I said, getting out and going over to her side. I helped her out before looking up at the bedroom windows to see Mattia staring back at me. I gave him a fake smile as he shook his head at me.
"So does Trixie have any brothers or sisters?"
"She has one brother" I said, unlocking the front door "he's called Lenny, you should call him Lenny"
"Okay" she said, walking inside and staring at everything in awe. She took it all in before turning around to me "can I live here?"
"Really?" I said, laughing as I kicked off my heels "don't you like your house?"
She frowned a little walking into the kitchen. I followed her as the soldiers gave me strange looks.
"Ma'am isn't that-"
"Shut up" I said, sending them all out "talk to me Daisy, what's so bad about your house?"
"Okay but first can I sit on this?" she asked, pointing at the bar stool. I smiled and walked over to her, picking her up and setting her on it as she became all excited. Something told me life was extremely different at the Rosario house.
And not in a good way either.
"Well, Mom and Dad don't really talk to me" she said sadly "they're always talking to the scary guys who carry guns everywhere and it's even more sad when Hendrix isn't home cause I don't really have anyone to watch my shows with"
I quickly wiped my eyes with the back of my hand, quick enough for her not to see. I forced a smile but my heart was in agony over what she'd just told me.
Maria didn't deserve children. Nor Alejandro.
They were just power hungry animals. They didn't deserve such a ray of sunshine like Daisy.
"Well" I said "you can watch shows anytime you want with me, I'm so much more fun than Trixie and Hendrix"
"Thanks Miss Trixie's Mom" she said, giving me a toothy grin. I laughed at the name she called me as a soldier walked in with bags of candy.
"What's that?" she asked as I took the bags. I placed them in front of her, noticing a sparkle in her eyes.
"An early Christmas present, from me" I said. I watched her open them and see the candy. She covered her mouth with her little hand as she looked up at me in disbelief.
"Are these all for me?" she asked, just as Levi walked into the kitchen.
"I- What did you do to Trixie?"
"That's not-"
"Hi Lenny!" said Daisy. Levi froze as he looked at Daisy then back at me, fully convinced that I'd taken Trixie back a few years.
"Oh my god" he facepalmed.
"She's even more annoying as a child"
A/N: thought I'd give you guys a nice ending since it's about to get messy 😍🔪
