He felt like a kid in a toy store.

The next room that Chris decided to check out seemed to be a place that displays types of body armor. Large capsules sat next to the walls with some strange mannequins sitting in each one. Each one displayed something different.
It kind of looked like some sort of superhero fitting room.
Chris walked up to the one on the far right. This mannequin displayed some kind of red cape.
Curious, Chris tried to find a way to open the capsule when his eyes landed on a button on the right side. Chris pressed it with his finger.
The capsule opened.
How convenient.
Chris reached out and touched the cape with his fingertips, eyes widening slightly.
The cape was such an odd texture. It definitely didn't look the way it felt.
The cape looked extremely velvety, yet when feeling it, it felt a bit mesh-like and very rough.
What was this for?
There's no way that KimTech would make a thing solely for aesthetics.
Upon further inspection, Chris noticed that the inside of the cape had a few black stripes that seemed to be different from the red material of the rest of the cape.
Chris didn't know what it did by just looking at it, so he decided to leave it be.
Chris moved onto the next capsule to find some kind of set of armor. The armor looked Roman-inspired, but the material it was made out of was clearly synthetic.
It looked extremely protective.
The mannequin in the next capsule looked a bit more interesting.
This mannequin had some sort of armor-like thing that was only for the wearer's forearms and calves. Upon further inspection, there was something else that goes on the bottom of the foot. The equipment was made out of some sort of black stretchy material with red streaks through it. On the left forearm piece had something that looked like a control panel on it.
What was this?
Chris was very curious at this point. Almost immediately, Chris opened the capsule and slid the equipment off of the mannequin. The equipment felt sturdy, yet it was quite stretchy. On the other hand, the pieces of equipment that were supposed to go on the foot were hard pieces of synthetic material, probably the same as the material of the armor from earlier.
Interesting.
Chris rolled his sleeves up and slid the equipment onto his muscly forearms. Afterward, Chris sat down on the floor and took his shoes off, doing the same to his legs before putting his shoes back on right after.
The equipment felt surprisingly comfortable. They fitted to his body, yet they didn't feel tight on his body.
Chris stood up and stared at the pieces that were supposed to go on his feet.
What was he supposed to do with these?
Unsure, Chris decided to step on one with his shoe-covered foot.
The material immediately clicked as soon as enough pressure was put onto it, it immediately fitting to the sole of his foot.
Whoa.
Chris did the same to his other foot.
Now what?
Chris looked down at the control panel on his left forearm. A small screen was on it, three different colored buttons lining the bottom. Naive, Chris pressed the button on the left.
