We first seen a young thief with short, spiky, pale cyan hair. Crimson red eyes, with a lean muscular build, wearing a yellow and green colored outfit, carrying a dark purple sack as he gazed upon an enormous tree with pink leaves that stood proudly in the middle of a vast and luscious green forest, from on top a thick branch. He quickly made his way up the tree while singing a catchy song. When he reached the top his eyes widened with glee as he gazed upon a silver chalice with golden engravings on a thin pedestal as it overflowed with a vibrant pink liquid into a small pond of the same pink liquid.
"So that's the Fountain of Youth, the treasure guarded by a saint! Anyone who drinks the water that's flowing from that cup gains eternal life, huh?" The young thief stated with excitement as he narrowed his crimson eyes and licked his lips with anticipation. "Talk about blowing something out of proportion. I don't see any treasure-guarding saint around here..." The light haired male said as he looked around but was surprised to see a slender pale-skinned girl with a very petite frame, neck-length blonde hair, big golden eyes and long, thin eyelashes that wore a white dress.
"You lost, little girl?" the thief asked as he bent over lightly to look at her. "I'm guarding the spring." The girl said as she began to levitate up to his height. "From Bandits like you." The male looked at her with a look of confusion, that is, until he felt a large gush of wind as she pointed, sending him flying away as he screamed.
(Present Day: Boar Hat)
We see Ban fall out of his bed with a sudden thud it caused an ale bottle that was sitting on a nearby shell to fall on his head, waking him as he let out a large yawn, the talking pig named Hawk yelled out from downstairs waking everyone. Ban then walks down into the Boar Hat tavern as Meliodas, Princess Elizabeth, and Hawk enjoy their breakfast on one of the few badly carved wooden tables as the giantess Diane peers in through the window. "Captain, I need a drink." Ban calls out as he sit on a bar stool behind Meliodas. "Isn't it a bit early?" The giantess questioned. "Would you like some breakfast, Sir Ban?" The young princess asked politely. "You expect me to eat the Captain's lousy cooking?" The tall male asked rhetorically. "Make it yourself, then!" Meliodas said was he threw Ban a bottle of ale from behind the counter. "Thanks, Captain." Ban said as he removed the cork from the bottle, only for the liquor to splash him in the face.
"We're heading for the Necropolis. We'll look for King there." the short blonde captain informed as he pointed at a map of Britannia. "Didn't you say that Fatty was dead?" The fox sin asked with a bored expression as he held a liquor bottle in his left hand. "It's our only lead, so let's go check it out." Meliodas said enthusiastically as Elizabeth looks at him with concern. "What sort of place is the Necropolis?" "Beats me. All I've heard is that it exists." replied the shorter male nonchalantly. "If it's called the Necropolis, it's gotta be haunted, right?" The talking pig asked nervously. "Gloomy even in the middle of the day, with graves all in a row?" Hawk asked, creeping out Elizabeth and Diane. "There... won't be any bugs, will there?" Diane asked with a hint of fear in her voice. Hawk then questioned the possibility of King even being alive causing Elizabeth to get scared as Meliodas questioned the possibility of there being ghosts. All while Ban slept against the bar counter with a soft snore.
(20 Years ago: Fairy King's Forest)
"That was a close call... So that's the saint who guards the pond, huh?" A young Ban stated as he hangs from a large tree branch that caught him, saving the young bandit from his deadly fall. "It's okay now. I've dealt with the bandit." The saint says as she looks over at the fountain. But then she hears a familiar voice climbing up the tree, as she looks over the edge of the tree, she is surprised to see and unharmed Ban climbing it. Once he reaches to the again, he is immediately blow away by the saint. Only for his fall to be cushioned by sentient mushrooms. Ban kept on climbing the tree only to be thrown off multiple times. When he managed to reach the top again successfully, he glared at the saint. "KNOCK IT OFF, DAMN IT!!!" the young male shouts, with an angry look on his face.
