"Salem."

Ban's eyes widened at the sudden realization. The Beast standing before him was Salem. Fallen into despair and turned into a demon. "Ban!" Meliodas called out, snapping him out of his thoughts. "Snap out of it Ban, and help me kill this thing!" Meliodas exclaimed as he and Wild tried their best to fight against the monster, but the demon was bigger and stronger. "Cap'n! Wild! STOP! DON'T HURT HIM!!!" Ban shouted causing the two to stop and look at him in shock. "WHAT!?" Meliodas exclaimed as he failed to dodge Salem's attack and was sent crashing into a mountain. "What do you mean "Don't hurt him"!?" Meliodas questioned his friend as he got out of the human shaped hole in the mountain that he had created. "We can't hurt him!" Ban stated as Meliodas walked over to him. "Why not?!" Meliodas questioned.

"That's Salem!"

The Beast then let out a loud roar as the ground began to shake. Meliodas rolled his eyes as he internally groaned at this revelation. "You have got to be kidding me." Meliodas said as his face deadpanned and he facepalmed. "Well how do you suppose that we beat him without hurting him, Loverboy?" Meliodas asked sarcastically as the two dodged another attack from the giant feline. "Wait! Don't you and Salem have a mental link or something? Maybe you can use it to reach him!" Meliodas stated as he dodged Salem's attacks. "It's worth a shot!" Ban turned to look at Salem only for the giant demon to breath out a wave of flames from it's mouth. But Ban remained unfazed and unharmed. Within the flames, Ban closed his eyes and focused on Salem.

"Salem, my love, I know you're in there. Come back to me."

Ban then stretched out his right hand as both Nexus stones began to glow.

"Come Back To Me!"

Then within seconds the mental link was opened and multiple voices and thoughts entered into Ban's mind, as he was slowly being overwhelmed. "This is too much... But I can't give up... I'm Going to save him!" Ban then began to focus , going deeper and deeper into Salem's subconscious. "Come on Salem, Where are you?" But just as he kept searching he began to hear a familiar tune. "There!" Ban then focused on the tune and then everything went black.

Opening his eyes Ban saw that he was standing on water as the entire space he was in was covered in fog. "Salem! Salem, Where Are You?! Answer Me!" Ban called out as he walked for what felt like minutes. Then he began to hear what sounded like crying, Ban's pace quickened as he followed the sound. Then Ban's eyes widened as he looked upon what looked to be a small boy with dark jet black hair, and wearing a simple black shirt and grey shorts. "Salem?" Ban called out as the boy stopped crying and turned to look at him. His golden eyes were puffy and red from all the crying. The boy's eyes widened when he made contact with Ban.

"Ban? BAN!"

The boy then ran towards him and hugged Ban's leg. "I was so scared. It was so dark and I was all alone and, and, I thought I'd never see you again and--" "Hey, hey it's okay." Ban hush the boy as got on his knees and brought him into a warm and loving embrace. "It's okay. I'm here now. You don't have to be scared anymore. I'm here. And I'm never going to abandon you." Ban said reassuringly. "Never?" Salem asked as he dug his head into Ban's neck. "Never. I made you a promise to never give up on you, and that is a promise I will never break." Ban stated as Salem then let out a big sigh of relief and began to relax in Ban's arms. Soft smiles were plastered on both of their faces as Salem's body started to glow. He then began to float into the air, breaking free from Ban's embrace. In flash of blue light, Salem's body began to age and take form. But what Ban saw would be engraved into his memory forever.
