Maze of Memories

Night has fallen and we see Ban, Jericho, and Elaine gazing upon a short frail man with ginger hair and mustache with blue eyes, wearing baggy torn up green pants with brown shoes. Wearing no shirt, a large red lion marking was visible on his back. "Let me introduce you! This is the Seven Deadly Sins' Lion Sin of Pride, Escanor!" Ban introduced the thin man. "Um... Uh... Once again it's very nice to meet you!" Escanor said shyly. "He's a giant of a man when the sun's up, but as you see, the most powerful becomes the weakest once the sun sets, making him a wacky guy." Ban explained as he held a weakened Elaine in his arms while Jericho had a look of shock on her face. "Mister, you're that huge man we saw earlier?" "I-I apologize!" Escanor said embarrassed.

"So this is the famed Lion Sin. I can't say that I'm not surprised, but then I would be lying." The group look up to see Salem descending from the air as he landed a few feet away from Escanor. "Salem! You're all right!" Jericho exclaimed. "Of course I am." Salem then turned to look at Galand's petrified, stone body. "I warned you didn't I?" "W-Wait! Salem?!" "Yes?" "Your L-Lady Merlin's twin brother aren't you?" Escanor asked shocking everyone on the fact that he even knew that, considering he was hiding inside a mountain for ten years. "Yes I am. And mind if I ask how you know that?" Salem asked with an intrigued tone in his voice. 

"Lady Merlin would always mention you, whenever we went on missions or was working on one of her experiments. She's very fond and proud of you." Escanor stated causing Salem's eyes to widen. "The way you talk about my sister... you really care about her don't you?" "Try madly in love!" Ban exclaimed which caused Escanor to jump out of his skin. "It's all right Escanor. My sister would be luck to have you." Salem reassured him as he placed a hand on his shoulders as the Lion Sin, looked at him with hopeful eyes. Salem then walked over to his lover and friend.

"Salem. W-What I said to you. About Octavia, about you and Ban... I'm so sorry." Elaine apologized as tears began to fall from her face. "It's all right Elaine. You're my friend. Nothing you say will make me hate you." Salem said as he held her hand. "Besides. It was Ban who saved us." Salem said as he looked up at him, looking at each other with a loving gaze. "Thank you, both of you." "Don't worry about it." Ban replied looking at her. Salem looked at them with a smile as images of a boy with blonde hair and red eyes appeared in his head. His eyes widen in shock as his lover and his friend looked at him, concerned. "Salem?" "You okay babe?" The two asked as he shook his head. "I'm fine just exhausted." He said reassuring them with a kind smile. But Elaine remained unsure. "You saw something didn't you?" Elaine asked as her eyes faintly glowed. "I'll tell you later."  Salem said to Fairy as he sense a familiar presence. Turing around, he saw a surprised King appear with his pet Oslo, a canine-like monster with green fur. His eyes widened at seeing his sister, alive.

The following night, we see our group of heroes, traveling on a horse driven cart which held  barrels of alcohol as the group had agreed to help Escanor deliver them. Ban and Elaine wore similar green and white bartender and waitress outfits due to their previous ones being ruined. Traveling along the road King and Elaine chatted as Ban and Salem had their own conversation. Salem examined his torn clothes as he let out a frustrated sigh. "Great! Now I need an outfit change... and a shower." Salem said as his cat eyes drooped. "We can do that when we get back to the Boar Hat." Ban stated reassuringly.

 "I've been meaning to ask you Salem." Ban said as Salem looked at him with a concerned look. "Who's Octavia?" Ban asked curiously as Salem's face darkened, and Elaine looked at him worriedly. "Ban, you really shouldn't—" "It's okay Elaine. He deserves to know." Salem said interrupting the Fairy. "Octavia was my daughter." Salem stated as Everyone's eyes widen in shock except for Elaine, who just looked at him with a somber look on her face. "You had a daughter? And here I thought, that I was your first time." Ban said trying to lighten the mood. "You were my first time... It's just that Octavia wasn't born into this world by normal means. But that is a story for another time."
