Hi there! I'm sorry I didn't update early like I promised, but I did make it extra long! Enjoy!

Peter's POV

"What are you wearing?" A voice laughed behind me. "You look like a fag!"

I turned around in my seat. Flash. Of course.

"What are you wearing?" I asked condescendingly. "A polo with jeans? What is this, third grade?"

A girl sitting next to me gasped.

"Next time you open your fat mouth, think about what you're saying first," I finished and turned back around.

MJ and Ned took the spare seats next to me. MJ was grinning.

"Where did you get that attitude? You finally stood up to him!"

I didn't answer. Loki pecked my hand and I looked down.

That was great. He said.

Thank you. I replied, then turned my attention to the teacher.

She awkwardly cleared her throat and shakily started the lesson. Instead of zoning out and trying do something else, I paid attention. Throughout the lesson, I raised my hand and offered answers to questions.

It was nice to use my intellect for something other than helping superheros with common sense. I guess  Tony was right, even if I don't like to admit it.

Sooner than I expected, class was over. MJ, Ned, and I all exited the classroom and made our way through the sea of students trying to get to our next class.  Loki squawked after nearly being crushed and hid in my hood.

"What do we have this hour?" I asked, dodging a paper airplane.

"Chemistry," Ned answered, thumbing through a text book as he walked.

"But didn't we have biology last hour?"

"Yeah but we're so advanced in our classes that they gave us an extra science class instead of study hall."

I shrugged. "Works for me."

The class that we arrived in was a big room with black countertops separated in rows. Microscopes, tubes, chemicals, and a Bunsen burner were prepared on each desk-like table. A few sinks lined the outermost walls. Most students were already sitting at their desks so we just chose to sit in the back.

The bell rung and the teacher began talking after the class quieted down.

"Today, we are mixing different chemicals to find different outcomes," He explained. "Some solutions will bubble up and some will just change color."

He turned to the white board and picked up a marker. "Now since we are using heat and potentially dangerous chemicals, I will write down some ground rules. All of us have to wear proper safety gear." He wrote down safety gear in bold letters. Then he began to write down two names of acid that we had on our desks. "These are both acids," He explained. "Be VERY careful when handling these, because if you touch them, you will get severely burned. Do not mix them together. I repeat do not mix them together. They will cause an explosion if mixed."

He capped the marker. "Put on the safety gear under the desks and get into groups for this project."

The class erupted in excited voices as people scrambled to put on the equipment and find partners. The safety gear consisted of a pair of goggles, an apron, and a pair of gloves.

I talked to Loki as I slipped all of it on.

This is exciting, right? I asked him. Loki poked his head out of my hood.
