Peter's POV

We walked down the bustling sidewalks, in search of Delmar's.

After about five minutes, Loki piped up. "Are you sure you know where you're going?"

"Yes," I answered. "Maybe if we teleported we would get there faster."

A sly smile danced on my lips.

"Only if we get ice cream after," He bargained, grinning back.

"Deal!"

Before we could leave, I spotted a familiar jock across the street. He turned from his friends and spotted me.

"Okay let's go," I said hurriedly.

"Why the rush?" He asked, completely oblivious to the jacked high schooler running towards us.

"Change into a snake!" I hissed, knowing full well if he saw Flash he would kill him on the spot. "Now!"

He disappeared in a green flash and I saw a medium black and green snake slither behind a discarded cardboard box.

"Puny Parker!" Flash yelled. "Is that you?"

I turned. Flash slowed to a stop.

"Where's your little friend?" He asked, smirking. "Didn't want to be seen with you?"

I had to refrain from punching him in the face. I balled my fists instead and muttered under my breath, "I can't believe I'm protecting this idiot."

"What was that?"

"Nothing," I mumbled.

Flash cockily moved closer. "So why hasn't my favorite punching bag been at school lately."

"Why? Did you miss me?" I quipped.

Flash scowled. "What did you say?"

He raised a fist, but before he could try to hit me his friends called for him across the street. I was glad, because if he tried to punch me I would've broken his arm.

"I'll see you in school, Parker," He growled and then raced back to his friends.

"Like that'll happen!" I yelled after him, holding up both of my middle fingers. He glanced behind him and saw my gestures. His expression was priceless. He paused in the middle of the road and almost got hit by a car.

The red Jeep honked at him and Flash darted over to the sidewalk. I saw a flash of green in the corner of my eye. I turned.

"What the hell was that?" He yelled.

"Flash," I sighed. "My old bully. Back when I was too afraid of hurting people, he was one of the guys that picked on me."

"That doesn't explain why you protected him."

"If you saw him, you would've killed him on the spot. He's a jerk but he doesn't deserve to die."

Loki took a deep breath and managed a smile. "We still on for sandwiches and icecream?"

"Of course!" I cried. "Can we teleport to Delmar's?"

Loki nodded. I grabbed his hand and mist swirled around us. We popped into the store, startling the owner who was sitting at the cash register.

"Pete? Is that you?" He asked.

"Antonio! Hi!" I waved, running up to the counter. "It's been awhile, huh?"

Antonio shook his head, chuckling. "You never cease to amaze me. What'll it be?"

I named all the ingredients I wanted on my sandwich. I looked at Loki. "What do you want, Lo Lo?"
