Tony's P.O.V
I blinked my eyes open.
I was standing by a booth in the corner staring at the wall. I slowly turned around in a circle thoroughly confused.
"Hey Tony! Where'd you go?" A stranger with a bow yelled across a cafe? Why was I in a cafe?
"Huh? Who's Tony?" I asked glancing around. "I'm-" I stopped.
Woah that was scary. I couldn't remember my name.
I faced the stranger. "Who am I?"
Bow Guy laughed. "Very funny. Now stop joking around and come over and sit with us," Bow Guy said gesturing to a booth with more people.
They looked familiar but I couldn't pinpoint it. I knew I would've remembered them if I ever did see them as they were the most bizarre looking group I'd ever seen.
One guy with long blonde hair hoisted a huge hammer over his head shouting. A short man with curly black hair shrank down in the booth seat, trying to disappear. A lady with bright red hair walked over to the table with at least twenty coffees piled on one arm with no trouble at all.
I watched Bow Guy run over and slide into the seat. Him and Hammer Man started yelling profanities and a patriotic dude wearing all red, white, and blue starting scolding them.
I searched for a memory of them because they looked so familiar but I found that I didn't have any memories. They started trying to wave me over so I tentatively walked over seeing as they apparently knew me and stood awkwardly by the table.
"U-Um excuse me?" I asked. "Do any of you happen to know who I am?"
Everyone gaped at me. I instantly became self-conscious. "W-What?"
Bow Guy laughed again but it was tense and humorless. "Very funny?" He said it like a question.
I shook my head. "I'm not joking. Who are you all?" They all shared worried glances and hesitantly introduced themselves.
"Maybe we should go back to the Tower," Natasha said. "Also we should call his personal intern. Maybe he could help."
The others all nodded and I was so lost. I had a personal intern? The others stood and ushered me out of the coffee shop.
Outside was the most expensive car I'd ever seen. Technically it was the only one I had ever seen. I ducked into the passenger side and slid the door close. The others shared worried glances and I heard one mutter, "He always wants to drive. He really isn't faking."
I chose ignore that and instead busy myself with rubbing the velvet insides. Nat decided to drive and we took off down the road.
When we reached the building and got up to the penthouse Natasha spoke. "F.R.I.D.A.Y call Peter."
'I guess that's my intern.' I thought to myself as the phone rang.
Peter picked up within a few rings. "Hello?" His voice was scratchy and tired, like he had just woken up.
"Peter? This is Natasha. I need you to come to the tower. It's an emergency."
"What kind of emergency?" He asked and we could hear shuffling, like he was sitting up or standing. We heard a quiet moan from the other end of the phone and Clint started laughing. Bruce turned red and Steve just sighed. I muttered something about a fun night and Clint started laughing harder.
"Tony lost his memory. All of it," Natasha answered ignoring the others.
He let out a few quick curses and a lot of shuffling was heard from Peter's end. Mumbled voices were heard. Peter seemed to be having a conversation on the other end and 'erased memory' and 'mistake' was heard.
I frowned. That seemed awfully suspicious to me. I looked over at Natasha? Was that her name? And saw that she was frowning too.
After a bit Peter's conversation was over. "I'm coming over to the tower. I'll be there in a few minutes," Peter said and then he sighed. "I'm also bringing a friend. He's an expert in this area."
"Wait-" Nat started to say but Peter hung up the phone. I looked to the others and saw that they all also wore frowns.
We all sat in an awkward silence until two strangers ran into the room panting. One had curly brown hair and the other had a face mask and hat on, effectively consealing his identity.
"Hello? Which one is Peter?" I asked turning to the others. Steve pointed at the one without the cap who now had a hand over his mouth.
"Mr. Stark?"
