Peter's P.O.V
By the time we had finally managed to get Clint to the kitchen (me carrying him), the pizzas had arrived. We all sat down around the table and ate the pizza like starved animals.
Mr. Stark and Thor started to have a heated discussion halfway through the meal. Eventually Thor just slapped Mr. Stark in the face with a slice of pizza. Nat joined in and eventually it turned into a food fight.
I managed to dodge every single piece of food that went flying my way, thanks to my Spidey Sense. I started laughing when someone dumped a whole milk carton on Bruce's head. For the first time in almost a year, I was truly happy.
'I should be getting back to May' I thought, my smile vanishing. 'It is pretty late and I still have patrol.' I frowned not looking forward to adding more injuries to my already long list. I sighed.
"Mr. Stark it's late and I should probably get home," I said and my voice cracked. I winced but Mr. Stark was too caught up in the war to notice.
He looked down a his watch. "Yeah it's around 7:45, your shift is over anyway."
"Okay. Thanks for today! I'm going to be heading home!" Peter called forcing himself to smile. The Avengers stopped throwing pizza to wish me goodbye. I waved and exited the room.
Walking towards the elevator my smile dropped and I sighed, running my fingers through my hair. I pressed a button and the elevator arrived within seconds.
When I got to the lobby, I waved to the receptionist and stepped out of the Stark building. I breathed in the warm air and clicked on my web shooters. Swinging home was faster, besides I have this chance so I might as well do patrol too.
I walked into a dark alley and slipped into my suit. I webbed my backpack to a roof near home and decided to swing around near downtown to look for trouble.
I sighed for the millionth time, slightly disappointed. Tonight's patrol was fairly quiet. I stopped a couple muggers and a bank robber but other than that, nothing.
I stared at the city from above, lost in my thoughts. My feet were swinging playfully off the edge and my mask was pushed up to the bridge of my nose so I could breathe in the springtime air.
Suddenly my spidey sense went off and I jumped up looking for danger. I pulled down my mask, ready for a fight, but I didn't see anything.
I felt something prick my neck and slapped at it. I looked around wildly searching for my attacker before passing out on the roof, unconscious.
I awoke to Ironman's face inches from mine. I screamed, completely surprised, and then slapped a hand over my mouth to muffle the girly shriek.
I brought my hand away and realized that I was still in my suit. I frantically looked around and realized that I was still on the rooftop. I flipped backwards and landed on my feet in a battle position, ready to fight.
He raised his hand, the blaster pointed at me. "Halt," He ordered then waited a moment, "I'm sorry about that. 'Halt'? Way too formal. Don't move. There that's better." Rage boiled inside me.
"Why did you attack me?" I asked, my voice quivering from anger. I balled my fists and gritted my teeth.
"Attack you? Kid I found you here. Unconscious, might I add." He said, lowering his blaster a bit.
