Peter's P.O.V
Andrek dismissed me and I headed back to my cell gaining a few strange looks from my guards. I had been shouting for them after all.
Once I was back in my cell I sat down on my cot, exhausted. Before I left his office, Andrek told me that I would be tested.
A loyalty test.
God I hated those. I rubbed my temples feeling a headache coming on. To be honest, I was nervous. If Andrek found out I had lied I would be killed.
"Stop worrying about it," I muttered to myself, "You're the Spider." I sighed and laid down resting my head on the stiff pillow.
What's that supposed to mean?
I jumped a few feet in the air, startled. I sighed and laid back down knowing who it was.
"None of your business," I retorted. "Can you go away? I don't even know who you are."
So you really aren't joking? Loki asked desperately and I could hear the heartbreak in his voice. I almost felt bad for him.
Almost.
"No. Now leave me alone," I said coldly.
"Asshole," I muttered to myself in Russian.
I heard him sigh and he never spoke up again. I eventually drifted off into restless sleep.
~~~
I woke gasping. Who was that? Was my first thought. I had dreamt of someone with piercing green eyes. Flashes of us laughing and glimpses of us talking. I yearned to be with this person, who I felt like I knew so well.
I shook my head and slapped my cheeks a couple times to get myself fully awake. Those feelings disappeared and I stood, stretching.
I yawned widely and my back popped a few times as I leaned backwards in another stretch. I straightened up and sighed. Today's the day.
I strolled over to the door and it opened for me. I stepped out and made my way down the halls, careful not to get lost among the winding corridors. I wasn't accompanied by guards this time and I was glad. They were always so annoying.
I stopped in front of a double door and pushed it open revealing the training room. It was a gigantic room that resembled a gym but instead of weights or treadmills, there were deadly weapons and training dummies. Usually it was full of Hydra assasins but today it was clear of people.
In the middle of the empty room stood Andrek and a captive bound up in chains. The prisoner was an older woman, with grey hair and smile wrinkles covered the frail woman's face. Recognition flared in her eyes when I stepped in but I paid no attention to it.
Andrek smiled. "Ah Spider you've finally arrived!" He said opening his arms to gesture around the room.
"What is my test, sir?" I asked reproachfully glancing at the woman. Andrek's smile widened and he tapped his fingers excitedly on the back of the woman's chair. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a pistol. He tossed it to me and I caught it on impulse.
