Trigger warning. Lots of angst cause I'm evil. Horrible jokes and a really bad plot but enjoy anyway. I know you love me. <3

Peter's P.O.V

Halfway to the tower, it started to pour.

"Ack! We'd better hurry!" Clint yelled over the lulling rhythm of the rain. He picked up his pace, with us right behind him and before long we were sprinting.

We splashed through puddles and by the time we reached the building, we were muddy and soaking wet.

Instead of heading to the front entrance, we snuck around to the side, careful to avoid all of the cameras. We hid under the overhang while Clint explained the plan. While we were brainstorming, I saw Loki put on the sparkly shirt that I got for him.

Once we finished perfecting out plan we launched into action. I emerged out from under the overhang and started scaling the wet wall. After climbing about fifteen feet I came across a metal vent. I perched in my position waiting for my signal.

Not even five minutes later a huge explosion shook the tower and I caught a small glimpse of Bucky and Clint fighting. My signal. I yanked off the small metal door and crawled in. I paused before going too far and made a simple rope made out of webs. I attached it to the floor of the vent and threw it out.

I stuck my head out and watched Loki climb the rope. The rain had calmed to a slow drizzle but it was still enough to make the rope slick.

Loki got ten feet up the web before slipping. He let out a small shriek of surprise as he started falling. My heart leapt to my throat and a static buzz filled my head. Time seemed to move in slow motion as he plummeted towards the asphalt. I clumsily jumped out of the vent after him, panic clawing at my heart.

The wind roared in my ears as I reached out for Loki. His mouth was open in a halfway scream. I tucked in my arms to go faster and I was able to grab hold of his torso. I clutched him to my chest as we fell further and further. I released a web and it pulled taunt inches from the concrete, launching the two of us back up the building.

I let go of the white string and launched another, aiming for the opening in the wall. We landed inside the vent with a loud thunk. I leaned against the wall, panting. I was visibly shaking too.

"I was perfectly fine. You didn't need to do that," Loki said, somewhat harshly.

I looked up at him with an incredulous look on my face. "You were falling to your death!"

"I have magic, you dimwit!" He shouted back. My face fell slack. I felt so incredibly stupid that I turned away. Why hadn't I thought of that.

"Come on. The others are probably already inside," I said quietly. My hands were still shaking as I crawled down the metal tunnel.

After a few excruciating minutes, we reached a fork in the vent.

"This way," We both said at the same time, picking opposite paths.

"No it's this way!" I insisted. "Clint said to go left!"

"No he said to go right!" Loki yelled back.

"Fine." I huffed and moved to go right. Loki did too and we collided.

"Hey-!" I protested.

"Move you idiot!" He shot back and shoved me. I grabbed his hair in an attempt to move forward but elbowed me instead.

"Ow your elbow is jabbing me!"

"Hey watch it!" Loki cried as I kicked his shins.

"You started it!"
