Yeahh I know. I was supposed to upload this chapter last week but I was drowning in schoolwork and didn't feel like working on this. I've been having severe writers block recently, so send me a message or comment if you have ideas for what should happen next.
Enjoy :p
Peter's POV
I awoke to Loki's voice. He was calling from across the cell. I sat up and stretched, groaning at my aching body. I rubbed my eyes and looked around. Loki was holding a tray of food. With a jolt, I realized he was smirking at me. My face flushed and I hid my face in a pillow. I couldn't help but think back to Loki and I's session.
He laughed. "I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. Here."
My spidey senses triggered my reflexes and I caught the object thrown. I looked at it and realized it was a piece of bread. I took a bite.
"I still hate you. I'm going to be sore for a whole day," I said around a mouthful.
I noticed my web-shooters nearby and clipped them on. I braced myself and got up. My body protested and I stumbled. Loki was next to me in an instant. He held the tray in one arm and supported me with the other.
I waved him off. "I'm literally a superhero. If I can handle bullet and stab wounds, I can handle a little soreness."
"Whatever you say. We have company," He replied.
I looked up and saw a guard waiting outside our cell. He was decked out in golden armor and held a golden spear aloft. His expression told me he didn't expect to see me alive, let alone be communicating casually with the god of mischief and lies.
The guard cleared his throat. "You two have an appointment with the king. I will return shortly to escort you. Eat and dress promptly."
He turned on his heel and disappeared around the corner. I took another bite of my bread. It was stale, but after almost 24 hours without food, it tasted heavenly. Loki sighed and sat down on the concrete floor. I followed suit, wincing as I adjusted to the hard surface. Loki set the tray down. He placed a hand on my thigh and I glanced at him. Concern danced in his eyes.
"Did I hurt you?"
I leaned forward and gave him a small kiss. "No. As much as it is embarrassing to admit, it was a good first."
He looked surprised. "It was your first?"
I pulled away. "It wasn't your first?"
He looked away and shook his head. "My age is the equivalent of seventeen human years, but time moves differently on Asgard. I've been alive for thousands of years."
"Oh." I tried to not sound disappointed, but it was a lame attempt.
"It's true I have been with others, but none whom I've cared for or loved. It was a strange, but pleasurable feeling, and certainly the most memorable."
He met my eyes and I gave him a small smile. My face fell as I came to a realization.
"What is it?" He asked.
"Doesn't that mean you'll outlive me? Won't I die before you even age?" I questioned. Panic rose in my chest. Self-loathing echoed in my mind. Can't do anything. Had to choose the one partner who you can't be with. Stupid Parker.
I watched Loki's face harden with steely resolve. "No. Odin has the power to change the way someone ages. I myself cannot cast such a high level spell, but he can. I'll just have to trick him into casting it."
"Why?" I asked. "Why would you give up a long life for me? I'm not worth that."
He smiled softly. "Peter, you are the first person I have loved in a long time. My mother-" His voice broke. "My mother was one of them, but she died. Thor used to be another one, but we fell apart centuries ago. You are worth everything to me."
