She's so soft and cuddly...how could someone so courageous and full of affection do such a thing?
First Person/Your Pov
It all started when we got here, she was much more cautious about the others and I. She held on tight to us without holding onto us, me more than usual. I never questioned it because she was our leader our friend, but I should've questioned it the moment those silver eyes grayed. They would stare at me with such intensity but with a sweet smile.
The time we became huntresses and huntsmen you wanted to go on missions with me more then anyone else. I never questioned it. After all, I did almost die at least 2 months ago. I shook it off as just you caring for me. I loved Ruby rose...not the stranger that would hurt people to be with me. I don't understand what's happening. Why're you standing over a dead body? Why is your scythe out and bloodied? Why am I awake? I thought I had just passed out from blood loss. It wasn't Jaune's fault that I passed out, nor was it Ren or Yang's.
"Ruby...why...what's happening?" She looked back to me.
"They got you hurt so I got rid of them," I don't understand what's happening.
"But yangs your sister! And they didn't mean to I stepped in the way to block Jaune from being hit by a Grimm," Your face contorts into something I can't recognize from you.
"You're so selfless and sweet, no one deserves you," You're scaring me.
"I don't...where is this? We're obviously on a building roof top but why?" I ask you once more.
"Because I sped off with you, Jaune, Ren and Yang after they told me you got hurt. New trick Penny taught me...so I brought them here to a building telling the others that we're going to hide and aid you, after we did I killed them," You state, no emotion in your eyes.
"Why're you saying all these things so lightly Ruby? You just killed our friends!" I'm angry now. Where is the Ruby I know. As I'm trying to stand up I wince it makes you angry. It hurts to breath but I'll live once my aura regenerates. You're watching my moves cautiously just incase something happens. The eyes that I once loved now cold and unforgiving, I can't love them now anymore because this is what they are.
"C,mon." You practically demand.
"Where are we going?" I ask.
"Somewhere I can keep you safe," You reply.
Timeskip
Your voice is no longer upbeat it's cold and icy. You look unfeeling and I'm scared to disobey.
"Ruby, what happened to you?" You don't look at me but I can feel your confusion.
"You used to be so...happy, why are you not happy now? I mean of course we're in the middle of a war but you're always so determined and shining brighter than everyone," I ask.
I wait a second, then a minute then finally, "It's your fault."
"Wh-what?"
"You made me fall in love with you, your smile, your laugh, your self in general, I want that all. No one else can have you except for me," You've officially gone off the deep end.
I want to say something sarcastic but I'm not with the same Ruby I knew three months ago. There's a sharp pain in my head that's makes me feel like I'm going to faint and the worlds burning.
"Where are we going?" I ask.
"Somewhere here go to sleep I'll carry you there," Shes short but she does have some muscle.
"What are you talking about? How am I supposed to fall asleep?" You ask.
"Good point...Hmm," She looks at you, stop walking.
"Ruby?" She runs towards me. "Ruby?!" Then I'm punched on the side of my head and everything goes black.
Timeskip
Third person Pov
You wake up or more like you jump up, you're in a dark room that seems to be pulsing with black. It's red and purple in some places. You feel a sharp pain in your head and you reach to hold it, wincing. What's happening? You're so confused.
"You're awake!" You look up spotting Ruby, she runs towards you but you flinch slightly. Her mood shifts but she's still very worried about you.
"How are you?" Ruby asks.
"My head hurts....Where are we?" You ask.
The door opens, you get out a shattered gasp at the face, "Safe."
"Salem...." You're breathing is broken, three times more horrified now. You look at Ruby but she doesn't seem to care that Salem just entered.
"Why am I here?" You ask Ruby.
"Little rose was helping me all along," Salem responds for her.
"That makes no sense! Ruby would never help a monster like you!" Quickly your heads turned to the side.
"Ow..." You put a hand on your cheek, had Ruby really just slapped you? It was so fast you didn't even see it coming.
"Shes not wrong rose petal, but in a way it does. She's sick and tired of humanity's corruption so now she's helping me," You can only stare in shock at Ruby.
"I'm doing this for us, I love you so much! Salem says this is how I can protect you and keep you safe! So that's what I'll do!" Ruby clutches your hands giving your knuckles a kiss. You want to pull away but you're too scared.
"Ruby what about you mom? Grimm killed her, didn't they? She controls them." You say and she pulls away.
"No they didn't, it's Ozpin's fault for sending her out in such a dangerous world, I won't let the same happen for you."
Who are you? Why are you doing this? Where's my Ruby?
