Summary: the reader's parents were killed by Salem when she was a baby. She was taken in by a Faunus who taught her Kung Fu. After catching Ozpin's attention, she enrolls in Beacon and four girls come into her life.

Flashback
"Adebd." You mother said out loud as you organized the letter blocks. You father chuckled rustling your hair he had a dragon tail and ears. A dragon Faunus was rather rare too.
"Close to an actual my little star dragon." You smile picking up your blocks again and throwing it but a loud roar coming from the forest interrupts. Your family lived in a little cabin in the forest.
"F/n!!!! (Father's name!)" A voice shouted your mother had a terrified look on her face.
"Salem.." Your father muttered your mother brought you to your crib and put you in.
"Stay here little dragon. We'll be back soon. Ok?" Your mother says and you nod.
"Yesth Momma." You say and she grabs her weapon and walk outside with dad. For the next few minutes you hear roaring and screaming and yelling it terrifies you. When all goes silent you hear mumbles.
"Over here there was yelling over here!" A voice said.
"Oh my god those two are dead!" Another voice stated.
"Check the house for survivors!" The last voice said and you hear more footsteps when one spots crib. There faunus.
"There's a baby..." The one faunus said and picked you up.
"Careful let's bring her back to the camp." The other one says.
"We could train her too and these little dragon ears. So cuteee!!!" The other one says and you don't know how but you fell asleep. You wake up in a camp your about 12 now.
"Y/n...come let's train." Your faunus trainer said you sigh and get ready for the day wearing a white robe and a black belt around your waist.
"Shoulders back Y/n..." Your sensei says and you nodded.
"Yes sensei!" You say kicking the punching bag in a few hours your fighting your sensei. A few years later your 16 you hear that a guy named Ozpin is coming to camp. He sees you train taking an interest in your skills.
"Akihiko!" The White haired male says walking to your sensei.
"Ozpin! How are you old friend?" Your sensei asked.
"I'm good," He looks at you, "Who's this?" He questions looking at you.
"I'm Y/n it's a pleasure sir sensei talks about you." You say taking a knee.
"He does does he?" Ozpin looks at Akihiko, "All good things I hope." Ozpin finishes and they walk away little do you know you are the reason he's here. 1 year later you are asked to enter a huntress and huntsmen school Beacon and later you enroll.
16 years later (Your almost 18)
"N....Y/n...Y/N!!!" A voice shouts and you wake up in Professor Port's class it seemed it ended.
"Sorry Ruby Thanks for waking me." You say grabbing your bag and getting up walking out. Ruby walking with you jumping along on her feet. You chuckle How cute...You think.
"Y/n! Ruby!" The golden girl Yang runs towards you along with the black haired cat and a snow queen as well. Ruby turned to look at her big sister who kept on nudging her fist on Ruby's hair.
"Hey!" Ruby shouts and you start to laugh a little.
"How was Faunus history Blake?" You asked and she scoffed.
"Completely untrue ...Faunus aren't monsters.." Blake finished and you shook your head in agreement.
"Maybe not all of them but there's still bad Faunus out there." You say Blake looks at you seeing a small smile on your face makes her smile. You start to walk away they follow you to the lunch room. When sitting you sat next to Weiss and Blake while Ruby was eating cookies and Yang was eating a sandwich.
Sighing as you sipped your tea/coffee/or f/d (favorite drink) you remembered what happened on that night. Your mother and father they covered your eyes so you couldn't see there faces. You could only imagine how much pain your mother is and how much blood was poured. They told you a few years later but your remembered. You father was stabbed what seemed to be 25 times and you mother was spared for only 10. Grimm slashing too across there backs and your father's eye was scratched out. You only could cry once you hear and Sensei was there to comfort you. Tears stung in your eyes but putting your glass down seemed a good option or you'd crush it in your hands.
"Y/n are you ok?" The girl with a red hood asked you sounding concerned.
"I'm fine," You said as you stood up, "Just need to be alone for a little while..."
~•Time skip•~
You walked towards the top of the roof of the school sighing as you sat down. You needed to calm yourself. Sitting down looking out on the distance you had an aura but you didn't unlock your semblance (I almost wrote quirk...my bad) yet. Maybe if you walked down to the emerald forest it'll help you concentrate on something else. When you got to the emerald forest you try and find Grimm. Looking around until you found a pack of Beowolves..Grrr...stupid Grimm you would get your heads stuck in tree and you wouldn't even care....You beings are so...reckless... Then the pack surrounded you. You pulled out your weapon and got ready to attack them. A Beowulf runs at you going for your left trying to scratch but you grab a hold of it's arm. You grab your gun and fire a few shots into it's body making it topple over in pain.
"Grr...rr." It groans before it fades away. You look over at the group or Beowolves.
"Alright! Who's next?!" You shout at them and they rush toward you. It'll be ok you know what to do when your heads in the worst of places. You think

"Yeah." Ruby said blankly and the other girls shouted her name, "What honesty is the best policy!" She finished.
"Back to you Y/n! That was amazing I'm so proud of you!" Yang said and you looked confused. Proud? You looked at the things around you... I did it...I unlocked my semblance! You smiled happily and they hugged you shouting words of congrats. You finally felt happy with yourself, with the people around you, and felt happy with Team RWBY.
For at least now...
