Velvet and you met...long before you guys got entered into Beacon. You met when you two were at the age of 8 and your friendship blossomed there. You two enrolled into beacon together and still after finding separate teams you had time to hang out.
Velvet groans as she sits down her head going to rest on the table. She mumbles something then looks at you. You tilt your head in confusion.
"Coco is blind, no matter how many times or tries she's not interested in..." You cut her off there as she continues to talk. Why can't you see me? You think still staring at Velvet.
"What do you think, Y/n? Should I keep on trying," She asks worried and upset since she's always been one for being concerned about annoying people. You nod.
"Keep on going...she'll see you eventually," You say not knowing you are trying to convince. Velvet smiles her ears pop up.
"Thank you, Y/n," She says. In all honesty you should've acted faster to confess your feelings, but now you assumed it was too late. Soon Velvet and Your team sat down next to you at your lunch table. And while coco was there Velvet didn't see you. You were a ghost in her eyes.
Timeskip
"Y/nnnnn," Your teammate groaned, "Help me studddy!"
You shrugged, "...Maybe later?" You were reading on your bed.
They groaned, "Y/n please? I totally bombed Goodwitch's last exam! I need help!"
"If she doesn't want to do it then don't force her," Your other teammate said. You closed your book.
"It's fine..." You say getting off your bed, "What did you need help with?"
"Everything!" They whined.
"Everything's right," You team leader said as they sat on their bed.
You laughed a little and sat down at your desk your teammate sitting next to you.
As you did someone knocked on the door.
"Come in!" Your team leader yelled.
"Y/n?" Velvet asked for you and you looked at her.
"Mhm?" She looked at you.
"Come with me please?" She asked and you nodded getting up.
"What about me and studying?!" Your teammate yelled in which your other teammate threw a book at them.
Timeskip
"I need your help," Velvet says and you nod.
"Of course," You say and velvet nods you two walking outside of school.
"I want to confess to Coco today. What you said made me realize that I should be straight forward with her," She said smiling at you you could feel your heart being ripped out of your chest and torn to pieces.
"O-oh," You say.
"Do you think it's a bad idea?" She asks concerned.
"No!" Velvet jumps in surprise, "I mean no coco would love how forward you are with your feelings. Makes her think you really understand yourself," You say trying not to tear up as you look down Velvet smiles determined.
"Follow me!" Velvet says grabbing your hand and pulling you along with her as you make your way to Vale.
"Wh-What are we doing?" You ask and Velvet looks at you.
"We're getting chocolates and roses for coco so I can confess the right way," She says happily the fact that she looks so happy makes a smile bloom on your face.
You two go to different shops looking for specific things. Velvet looks around happily for flowers and chocolates and maybe something extra like a teddy bear. She's so great but how come coco doesn't see it? She's strong, and unique, and beautiful, and caring, and loving...but she doesn't love you the way you want her to.
"Y/n, are you crying?" Velvet says and you look up at her. How could you not notice? She puts her hands up going to your cheeks to try and wipe away the tears before they fall, but you grab her wrists making her jump in shock
"So-Sorry I'm okay, I guess I didn't notice I was crying..." You say letting go you wipe your tears away. Why didn't I notice?
"What are you crying about?" She asks and you shrug.
"..I don't know..." You sigh looking down at carefully wrapped hearts full of chocolate. You grab one.
"Do-do you have someone to give one of these to?" She asks and you put it back.
"...Not anymore," You mutter walking out of the shop.
Velvet's Pov
What just happened? Who hurt Y/n? Did she confess to someone..but..she couldn't have. She'd tell me if she had a crush on someone. I walk to the cash register and pay for the things I got.

No ones Pov
You waited outside after wiping your face. It felt like you couldn't breathe. You looked at the door while Velvet exited.
"Are you okay?" She asked and you nod.
"Sorry...I felt a little claustrophobic," You say and she nods.
"Did you get the flowers?" You ask looking down at your shoes you couldn't stand to look at her face to face.
"Yeah..Y/n talk to me. Whats wrong?" She asked you felt like crying again.
"You wouldn't understand," You murmur Velvet places the flowers down next to her and cups your cheeks making you look at her.
"Y/n?" You barley make eye contact when you start to cry again, "What's wrong?"
"Leave me alone..." You say.
"Y/n...talk to me...I'm your friend you can trust me," She says and you shake your head no.
If I do then this could be the last of our friendship. You think Velvet still stands there looking at you with concerned eyes.
"Why won't you even say my name? What's wrong?" Velvet rubs the tears streaming down your face away.
"It's nothing... let's just head back," You say walking away.
"Y/n!" You jump that's the first time Velvet has even yelled at you, "I hate to yell but I need you to speak up for once in your life!" She says and your shoulders slouch.
"..I'm in love with you..." You murmur not bothering to look at velvets expression.
"What?"
"I'm in love with you," You speak up, "But you don't feel the same...I have to go," You say walking away.
"Y/n...wait," You look back at her and she shoves the chocolates and flowers in your hands, "I love you too,"
"Wait..." To think of it these roses weren't even Coco's favorite flower they were yours, "Really?"
Velvet nods smiling wrapping her arms around your shoulders, "You beat me to the confession,"
"Oh..."
Sorry if that was cheesy but I've been a very lovey dovey mood I guess. My significant others birthday is tomorrow and I'm very excited. Anyway hopefully you enjoyed.
