"They understand. And Mom was late that day too, so don't worry about it," sagot niya.
"Really?"
"Really, your food is getting cold already.
"By the way, I have good news for you,"
"Ano 'yon?" I asked curiously.
"Matutuloy na 'yong kasal nina Mom and Dad but after six to eight months because they're just waiting for some papers before getting married,"
"Finally! I really can't wait for their wedding! I'm sure Tita Ivy is very excited about this. She's been waiting for this!" I exclaimed.
And I was sure mas doble pa 'yong excitement niya.
And of course, bawal kaming humindi agad sa gusto nila kaya paghihirapan namin hanggang mangyari 'yong demands nila.
I showed Arlo some of the plans for his mom's wedding.
"Wow, this is so beautiful," Arlo commented when I showed him the picture of Tita Ivy's wedding gown.
"I know, at lalong maganda 'yan kapag suot na mismo ni Tita."
"Oh, definitely..."
Mabuti na lang ako ang in charge sa wedding décor and venues ng kasal dahil mas nae-enjoy ko 'yong gawin. I haven't met Arlo's dad, but I was sure he was a nice guy.
"About your dad..." I trailed, feeling a little nervous.
"What about Dad?" tanong ni Arlo at mabilis niya akong nilapitan. He held my hand, trying to comfort me. Ramdam niya yata 'yong kaba ko.
