The Trial of the sea!

Today, in Alola, Gino arrived back on Melemele Island and was about to enter into Kukui's house but something caught his eye. He noticed a note on the fridge and thought it was a grocery list, so he put his stuff down and went to the note.

Gino: "To Gino..." That's me. "I heard you wanted to do the Grand Trial of Melemele. I accept your request and would want to have a chat inside my house. Signed--"

Gino saw the last word and dropped the note.

Gino: (Blush) O-Of course it's Mr. Hala who wants to see me. Of all days...

He gathered his stuff and began to walk out of the house before realizing something. Why would the Kahuna want to see Gino after everything? Has he got over it? The thoughts went through his mind as he continued towards Iki Town. Kommo-o spotted someone within the forest and went towards it.

Gino: Kommo-o. Where are you going?

Kommo-o: Moo-o.

Gino: But, we need to go do the trials. I wonder if it will be like Ash's trial. All those Rattata and Raticate around... good days!

Kommo-o looked around and didn't see anything so he went back to the trail.

Gino: Weird...

Gino arrives to Iki Town and sees a bunch of people outside running around and playing. Some kids passed by but stopped when they saw Kommo-o.

Kid: Woah! You have a strong Pokémon!

Kid 2: What is it?

Gino: This Pokémon is named Kommo-o.

All: So cool!

Kid 3: What type is it?

Gino: It's a Dragon/Flying type. He's a real partner and a great Fighting type. I would recommend one!

Kid 4: I want one!

Kid 2: I want one too!

Kids: Me too! I want one! It's so cool!

Hearing all the kids talk about Kommo-o made Gino smile. 

Kid 3: Show us a cool move!

Gino: O-Okay. Kommo-o, use Clanging Scales!

Kommo-o stood tall and used Clanging Scales as the kids cheered.

Kids: Yay! 

Kid: Where did you get Kommo-o from?

Gino: Well I got him when he was a Hakamo-o, which is surprising since--

Hala: It was supposed to be a Jangmo-o.

They all turned around and the Kahuna and his Hariteyama were there. The kids ran to Hariteyama as Hala went to Gino who was a blushing mess.

Hala: So, are you ready for your Trial?

Gino didn't respond as he was trying to process who was in front of him. 

Gino: E... E...

Hala: Is something wrong?

Gino: N-Nope! Nothing is wrong! I'm ready for my trial!

Hala: That's the spirit!

Gino: What exactly is my trial?

Hala: Come inside my house. I'll explain it to you.

As they walked to the house, Hariteyama followed them and the kids waved goodbye. When they entered, Gino saw Kukui already waiting on the couch, drinking water.
