Gladion told Ash and Gino to meet him outside at night. He was furious.
Gladion: Why did you bring Lillie to me?! She can't touch Pokémon again... because she saw Silvally and remember something! It would have been better for her if she'd never remembered!
Gino: I'm sorry, Gladion. But Nebby...
Gladion: Don't blame it on Nebby! Everything leading up to this point has been about Nebby! Pokémon attack when they're told to, so what I believe is that one of you told Nebby to send my sister to me on purpose! So, who was it?!
Ash and Gino didn't say anything.
Gladion: Don't make me beat the information out of you both! Spit it out now! Or are you gonna give me another "Nebby" excuse!
Gino: It really was Nebby. It teleports people when they wish to-
Gladion: Shut up! I suspect it was you now! People have been comparing you to Lillie for a while now. You just want to get rid of Lillie, am I wrong?
Gino: You're wrong! Lillie's my friend, and will always be! I would die to let her touch Pokémon again, if I ever got the chance!
Gladion: Lies! You're just saying that to make me feel better! Well not everything will be fixed with friendship, Gino!
Ash: Gladion! Calm down!
Gladion's hands were shaking with anger. He sighed and began walking away.
Gladion: Y'know, being afraid of Pokémon, is way different than being afraid of people. You should know that of all people, Gino. Gyarados isn't even that scary, you're just a coward.
Gino felt something inside him that made him feel sick. Gino collapse onto his knees, then on the ground.
Ash: Gino!
The next day Ash and Kukui were getting prepared to go to school.
Kukui: What happened with Gino?
Ash: It must've been one of his crazy dreams.
Kukui: If you say so...
While they were preparing to leave, Gino was in his room watching TV. He sighed and picked up Ralts, who was still asleep, and petted him.
Gino: Maybe Gladion is right... I shouldn't be afraid of Pokémon. That's for cowards! I'm not a coward!
Gino's hand shook.
Gino: I-I'm not a coward! I'll show Gladion!
Next day. Everyone arrived at the Pokémon school. When class was about to start, Lillie had her head faced down to the desk. Everyone surrounded her to cheer her up.
Ash: Cheer up! I know you'll be able to touch it again!
Lana: You shouldn't try to rush things.
Kiawe: We're here for you.
Sophocles: And of course, so is Snowy.
Snowy: Pix!
Mallow: Give it you all, Lillie!
Lillie: Give it my all, Lillie...
Mallow: Yeah, now you're getting it!
Burnet: Lillie!
Lillie: Professor Burnet?!
Burnet: I was worried, so I came to check up on you. I'm glad. It's such a relief to see you smiling.
Lillie: Hey, Snowy. Let me try one more time.
Kukui: Are you alright?
Lillie: I want to try.
