It's the second round of the Alola Pokemon League. Gladion won the first round. In the second match, Ash struggled against Hau, but eventually came up on top. Now the third match is now about to begin!
Jikyo: The Third match of the Alola Pokemon League is Contestant Kiawe vs Contestant Gino! They're classmates at the Pokemon School, and one is an assistant of the League's organizer, Professor Kukui!
Kiawe sent out his Charizard who roared.
Kiawe: Let's give it our all, Charizard!
Charizard nodded in agreement.
Gino: Pangoro, I choose you! You know what to do!
Gino sent out Pangoro who let out a sound of determination.
Hapu: Well, then, let the battle begin!
Kiawe: Flamethrower!
Kiawe immediately orders as his Charizard starts the battle by firing Flamethrower at Pangoro.
Gino: Use Low Sweep to dodge!
Gino knows Pangoro always starts the match with Low Sweep. Pangoro went low to the ground and slid past the Flamethrower.
Gino: Don't let your guard down!
Kiawe: Hit them with a Fire Punch!
Charizard quickly closes in on Pangoro and throws a Fire Punch at its direction.
Gino: Pangoro, dodge and use Circle Throw!
Pangoro quickly dodged Charizard's Fire Punch and grabbed Charizard, while it was open, and spun Charizard around in a circle. It then threw it towards Kiawe, dealing some damage.
Gino: Use Night Slash!
Charizard was getting up as Pangoro dashes towards the Pokemon and slashes at it.
Kiawe: Charizard!
Jikyo: Oh, my! Is this the end for Kiawe?! Gino has been brutally attacking his opponent without giving it time to rest!
Gino: Good going, Pangoro! Keep going. At this rate, if Kiawe continues on this path... I'm afraid he'll lose.
Kiawe: Fire Punch!
Charizard lunges at Pangoro and uses Fire Punch, but it dodges.
Gino: Use Night Slash in point-blank range!
As Pangoro gets behind Charizard, it uses Night Slash, sending Charizard flying into a wall.
Kiawe: Charizard! Fly!
Charizard quickly recovers from the last attack and flaps its wing, taking off into the sky.
Kiawe: Aerial Ace!
Gino: Pangoro, prepare to use Circle Throw!
As Charizard dives at Pangoro with Aerial Ace, Gino waits patiently for it to come close right where he wants.
Gino: Now! Now use Circle Throw!
As Charizard was close for grab range, time slowed down as Pangoro found the perfect angle to land a critical hit on Charizard. Pangoro grabs Charizard by its neck and slams it into the ground, damaging it greatly.
Gino: Brutal! Now, use Bullet Punch!
Before Charizard could even recover, Pangoro immediately throws Charizard and punches it at an angle where it hits the ground and leaves a dust could towards Kiawe. However, to his surprise, Charizard burst out of the smoke and lands in front of Pangoro. Despite it being bruised and damaged, it still has the will of fire and determination to keep until it faints.
