What's Wrong, Sophocles? A Friend's Goodbye!

Ash's classmate and Gino's friend Sophocles is working on something in the Sophocles Lab, the laboratory his papa made for him, today as well.

"There, all done! Make the program... run... I tried programming this Togedemaru I created with CG to have it make all kinds of different faces." Sophocles booted up a program with a Fake Togedemaru. "I'll show you." He clicked on an angry face, making the CG Togedemaru angry. "Angry face." He clicked on more of them. "Happy face." His stomach began to rumble. "Ah, I'm pretty sure we have some Malasada donuts. Hup." He headed into his house to eat something. He touched the door handle but heard someone.

"Seriously, you still haven't packed?" His mom said.

"Huh?" His ears jumped.

"Well, no, I still have a week, don't I?" His dad replied.

"No excuse. A week goes fast."

Sophocles swung opened the door worryingly. "Hey, we're not moving, are we?"

"...yes?" His mom answered.

"What?!" Sophocles yelled.

"I did tell you. Were you not listening?" She walked away.

"T-To where?" Sophocles asked.

"Well... We're moving kinda far away." His dad said.

"What?" Sophocles imagined them on a plane flying away from his house. He ran back into the lab. "What should I do? What should I do?! Moving away means saying goodbye to everyone at the Pokemon school, doesn't it? No, no, no! I don't want to move!" Togedemaru ran up to him worried. "That's it! I'll do a simulator of me starting a life here on my own! Let's see... Vacuuming, laundry, food... Ugh, this is pointless! There's a whole buffet's worth of stuff I'd have to do on my own! Not just that, there's also a 99.9 percent chance any food I make myself won't taste any good! And there's a 99.9 percent chance I'll fail to wake up on my own in the mornings! I can't do this! What should I do!"

Sophocles was in his room, unable to sleep.

"Sophocles."

"Huh?" 

"Can we come in? We'll open the door now." His dad and mom opened the door. Sophocles put his head under the sheets. "It's about the move..."

"You'll have to pack all your things this week, okay? Can you do that? Good night." Sophocles mom closed the door. He popped his head out the covers.

"It's so dark! I'm scared! Aah!" Sophocles flailed around. Togedemaru calmed him by glowing brighter. "Thank you, Togedemaru... I really don't want to part with everyone. You'll have to part with your beloved Pikachu too, Togedemaru. Don't you understand? You'll - say - good - bye. You'll be saying goodbye to it! You'll never see it again! Oh, geez! Like this." Sophocles showed a small clip of Togedemaru and Pikachu waving at each other. He pressed a button and it showed the Togedemaru and Pikachu being separated. "Do you finally understand how I feel abut this? I want to cry too!" Togedemaru and Sophocles began crying.

Next day~~~

Sophocles was walking to the Pokemon School with Togedemaru. "How should I tell them?" Sophocles asked himself. He was close to the school and Ash ran up to him. "Whoa! A-A-Ash?"

"Huh? you look down. What's the matter?" Ash asked.

"Huh? Uh, n-nothing." Sophocles lied.

"Do you have a stomachache?" Ash asked again..

"N-Not quite..." Sophocles said.

In class...

"Are you familiar with the Pokemon Ability "Battery"? Pokemon that have this ability are able to increase the power of moves. Now, do you know which Pokemon have this Ability?" Kukui asked.
