Amie
"And so while it makes sense to ask a demon, 'what irritates a demon?', everything about the way they asked me and basically the vibe during the conversation just wasn't okay with me." Ethan said.He has spent the last 10 minutes explaining and reexplaining the situation. Elijah had probably tuned out his brother's voice by now, while I stood thinking about why this would be such a big deal for him. It was widely known that Corl and Sub were the two violent ones in our team, one was brave and ruthless while the other just liked hurting bad people and would do so by any means possible.
Elijah jumped down from what he called Tree Headquarters (because it was the largest of 7 trees Sub formed a while ago) and put his finger over Ethan's mouth before he spoke.
"So what I'm getting here is 'Sub and Corl are crazy because they asked you about demons'." Elijah stated.
"Yeah. Wait no." Ethan said hesitantly, sitting against the tree. He put his head back like he was genuinely stressed about it. There was definitely something he's thinking about that Elijah and I weren't catching on to.
"Well," I started, sitting next to him, "you think they're out to get you?" I asked.
"Not necessarily me, but like..in my recent vision..I think I saw Alex's demon start to come from his pendant." he said.
"So maybe it is a warning..something bad is going to happen or probably already has happened." Elijah said.
"Could be..I don't know, on one hand I think I'm right even if you think I'm crazy. On the other, I just feel like I'm paranoid and letting my visions get to my head."
"I say that you should get your powers checked by Blue like you wanted, but don't let your guard down. If there's anything I've learned about these demons it's that the moment that you do, they get you." I suggested.
Elijah and Ethan gave me a weird look.
"What? Just because I don't go on every mission doesn't mean that I can't be filled in on them!" I said, laughing.
"Okay miss heroine." Elijah said, putting his hands up. Then he paused. "Wait..why do female heroes have the same name as a drug?"
"Coincidence? I think not." Ethan said, playing along.
"Maybe I am a bad guy." I said, standing while arming a bow and arrow.
I had the power of creation, which needed so much more practice with than I'd expected. To think of items and then create them efficiently quick enough to stop a villain was hard considering I've never had powers before. This would give me the opportunity I needed after pushing it back so many times.
"Challenge accepted." Ethan said, rising as well.
"But go easy on me please." I said quickly.
"Hell no! You can't tell a villain to go easy on you!" Elijah said jokingly.
"Fine, then you asked for this." I lit the bows on fire while the twins got a headstart to get away from me. Both of them chose to fly so it'd be harder to hit them. I know, pussies amiright?
This event went on for like 3 hours, until we were all too sore and tired to make it back inside. They let me win a couple times, but overall I didn't need their pity as I won anyway. I threw some curve balls they didn't expect at all (quite literally sometimes) which secured my victory. By then, everyone had returned home and everything seemed normal, and we had all forgotten about what Ethan said earlier today.
