Ethan
I woke up to a chilling sensation in the back of my head and and the aroma of coffee. I sat up and the pain returned again - felt like my brain was being pounded by a mallet.

"Oh, you're awake." Blue Moon said. Her voice was so deep and calming, though monotone. She never seemed to feel any emotions, but now I could tell she was somewhat happy.

"Denis told me about y'all's adventure at the police station. That shit's finna be abandoned now," she continued while putting away some books, "you went out like a light as soon as you got here; how're you feeling now?"

I did a mental check - sure I had excruciating throbbing pain in the back of my head, but other than that and a little tiredness, I was fine.

"Good as far as everything from the neck down goes." I said, stretching.

"'Kay so the worst you got was a concussion and imma need to check up on that again later in relations to your demon and angel sides. But either way that's another successful serum. I'm just crushing it lately oh my god."

"Serum-?"

"Don't worry about that..y'all are big boys anyways," she giggled to herself and messed up my hair a little, "Drink your coffee and then Star wants you in the living room."

Blue was so interesting. She's like a psychopath but a nice one. She dedicates so much time to helping others but if you get on her bad side she'll have a billion ways to kill you.

Sounds like Sub.

When I finished my coffee, I stretched once more and took up the one pound bag of ice Blue left on my bedside. As usual, her head was down into her notebook, writing something only God knows. She's a workaholic and doesn't even care. It's like she has a huge goal that's kinda personal, but at the same time something universal..I don't know..no one ever talks about the dedication she puts into this mysterious thing.

I took the empty mug to the kitchen then joined Star, Sub, Denis and Elise playing mario kart. My first thought was where's Elijah?

"Aye whassup Ethan!" Star said cheerfully once she saw me.

"Eh nothing much, you wanted me for something though, right?" I replied, sitting next to her on the couch.

"Yuh I did." she replied, turning off the tv right when Sub was about to win.

Sub gave her his death stare, which she returned with a hiss.

"Basically we gotta go get Elijah 'cause he came back for us." Star said.

"Don't forget my pendant which he took with him." Denis added. It was hard to tell if he was actually mad about it or not.

Either way, I'm not going to let Elijah die.

"I'll do it." I said without hesitation.

"But you don't even know-"

"I said I'll do it."

"Just hear us out for a moment though." Sub said.

I sat back and allowed him to continue.

"You almost died, okay? We needa play smart here or who knows what they could do to us, and furthermore if we fuck up with this 'smart' plan, Elijah will fucking die. I know it's a no-brainer for you to go save him because you don't want him hurt, but we seriously need to play our cards wisely and carefully." Sub stated.

I hated how he was so right.

"The easiest thing though that'd assure that everyone is okay is to just give them what they want. Remember what Elise said, with the whole hallucination fight we allowed them to get ahead of us again." Star said.

"Woah woah woah...hell no." Corl said as he walked into the room with Alex, who was holding the pieces of this crystal they were on about.

"Where have y'all been?" Elise asked.

"Trying to figure out other reasons they'd want the crystal so bad. It's beyond repair so they could have it anyway." Alex said, laughing a little.

"But we're not actually going to give them it, right?" Corl asked.

"Why not." Denis replied.

"Are you people that uneducated? If you've watched any movie you'd know damn well they're going to take the crystal and kill him!"

He wasn't wrong..

"And that's we kinda gave up on the whole fixing the crystal thing and instead came up with a mostly foolproof plan." Alex added.
