Elijah
"Y'all done kissing?" I asked while laughing.

"Bro do none of you know knocking?" Corl asked like I startled him.

"It's an evil farm base not your bedroom." Denis said. "Anyways I got a bad guy waiting to go good for ya."

Ethan wasn't that hard to get and there was a simple reason why - deep down he's still my twin brother and a good person. It was hard to believe he used to be against me, but since he joined us he's always proving himself that he has changed for the better. With that assurance I know we have each other backs even if we're on opposite teams.

"Aight let's get this done so I can go home." I moaned.

"I know right, I'm so fucking tired it's not even funny anymore." Corl whined.

"That's what we get when we're youtubers with double lives and nonexistent sleep schedules." Denis said, shrugging.

We heard the machine power on and an excited (and frankly kinda girly) squeal from Alex. He really seemed to be enjoying this tech stuff but he is the certified nerd, so who am I to get in the way of what he does best?

"Get some shades on bois. Might get lit up in here." Alex continued, putting on his favourite pair of sunglasses.

The second hand embarrassment was real.

Alex pulled the lever when we got our protective gear on and watched as the machine got to work doing..whatever it does. When we stopped by Blue's lab for extra information she said it should take the evil out of them through some shit I never listened to and maybe I kinda regret it now.

Wait, no I don't.

Once it was done I was first to get to Ethan, giving him a huge hug. I couldn't imagine losing him. At least the plus was that my friends now knew how seriously I took this shit. Call me crazy but all I want is for us to enjoy this like we would've dreamed of a couple years back.

Ethan laughed while pushing me off of him gently. "I was only gone for a couple days."

"Yeah but it's painful having to fight you for a couple days especially when you could die any minute!" I said.

"But I'm not dead so everyone wins! Anyways what do you really want?"

Another thing was that we could practically read each other as if we were a suped-up version of telepathic twins.

"Something's not right and I can feel it, I just don't know what it is." I said. "Maybe I'm catching onto your paranoia."

"No I feel it too.. We should probably get some investigation in."

"Or I could save you all the trouble and show y'all the truth myself." a voice spoke behind us. I already knew who it was from the first word, and it actually confused me why she showed up especially now.

On the other side of the room, on the top floor stood Nyeka, looking like she wanted to cause trouble. After that snoozefest she gave me, Ethan and Sub back at her place a couple weeks ago, it wasn't too hard to figure out that was a distraction for something else.

None of us were even surprised at her visit as we already knew her playing cards - simply casting a spell on us. Instead we just groaned in annoyance.

"Well that's no way to treat your favourite person!" she said all perky-like.

"I think we can all agree you're here for something so let's just cut to the chase, let us beat your ass and then go home." Sub spat.

"You guys don't even want to know why I'm here?"

"I want to know when your leav-"

Alex put his hand over Corl's mouth to shut him up. "You're right, why are you here? Is it because you haven't tortured us enough?" he said.

Nyeka started her monologue, then Alex got us to huddle up.

"You got an idea, don't you? But isn't this a little to obvious?" Sub said suspiciously.

"Don't worry, she gets caught up in her sappy old lady stuff way to easy so this buys us like 10 minutes tops." Ethan said.

"Yep." Alex agreed. "As for a plan, I don't really have one but she looks like she's hiding something."

I took a peak from behind the bent bodies and saw a glowing light from just below the balcony wall.

"If we get our hands on it, then what? We shouldn't be touching shit we don't know about especially from demons." Denis said suspiciously.

That hurt, but it was true.

"Well it's evidence and that's all I need. That and an excuse to slice her in half." Corl said.

"I'll get it and Elijah can be my backup." Ethan volunteered.

"Yeah and we can pretend to listen to her shit but be on guard for when it's being passed down so we can get out asap." Denis suggested.

"Can I stab her once before I go? Seeing as she's the reason we're suffering right now?" Corl pleaded.

"Fine but task at hand first."

"Gotchu."

With that we separated and tried to act as nonchalantly as possible, pretending to listen to every word Nyeka spoke as well as slowly inching towards our position. Ethan has already chose an animal of his choice and was on his way to grab whatever she held.

All I have to do was grab it and go, I told myself. Something was still bugging me in my mind though. This seemed way too easy and convenient even for Nyeka's standards. Then everything started to unfold before me.
