Gathering the Clues

"I can hear their souls." Moonshine kept repeating. I'd believe it if she wasn't saying that for an hour, only to be disappointed and break loads of things.

"You sure this time?" Star said, yawning. "'Cause sis is getting sleepy."

"You really want to start something now do you?" Moon asked in annoyance.

Denis and I sighed. This was probably the 10th time they've argued. At argument number 6 they actually started to fight and pull each others' hair. To break them up I had to stand between them and push them apart while Denis shocked them.

All of a sudden I got a loud ringing in my ears and everything started to sound spaced out on a way..if that makes sense...I could hear demon girl's voice clearly, singing a creepy song, and fading into her voice I could hear Elijah's voice, then Alex's.

I smiled at the thought of everyone's powers returning, and me gaining a new power. I shook Denis, who was watching the two girls fight.

"What-!" Denis said.

"I got a new power. I can hear things from really far away I guess. Don't know what it's called but let's get outta here." I said, barely being able to keep in my excitement.

"What about..them.." Denis asked, pointing at Star and Moon who were at each others' necks again.

I took up Star's wand and banged it against the concrete wall. The crystal on the wand was strong so it could take the pressure.

"Hey! Gimme that." Star said, pouting, then taking the wand from me.

"We're gonna find the others and get outta here. Finally." I said.

"How..it's like this bitch knows that demon powers are being used." Moon said, crossing her arms.

I listened to what demon girl said carefully. From what she's been saying, she disabled the strength of the Caythe crystals to work on the demon power modulator.

"Our powers are going to be working for the time being because she has disabled the strength of the Caythe crystals. That gives us time to find them faster." I said.

"Yas queen Amie coming to the rescue." Star said.

I smiled and rolled my eyes in semi-pride.

Star turned to the wall next to us and muttered a spell, then a portal opened up. I could make out a tune coming from inside..not sure why it was necessary but I didn't question. Star stepped in and then rest of us followed.

As she expected, we saw Alex, Braden, Ethan and Elijah. I pushed past the other three and ran straight to Ethan, jumping on him and hugging him. He was startled at first, but realised it was just me and let me hug him.

"Delivery for some shoeless hoes." Star said while Moon dropped their shoes.

"Thanks..but how'd you get Sub off the ground?" Elijah asked.

"My skin was brutally pulled off my hands." Sub muttered.

There was the sound of heals clicking coming from nearby, which sent all of us into panic.

"I think we overstayed our welcome right?" Moon asked.

Denis teleported all of us back home, where we could finally breathe peacefully, but this was far from over.
