Amie
I followed Elijah, not too close to get caught, but not too far to be unable to help him when needed. The place looked normal, everyone was going about their daily business which left both of us confused.

"How the fuck are we gonna outsmart Corl? I mean, he works with me and probably knows my plans inside and out! Plus who knows how long Sunny had this plan in the making? This is too hard - thinking is hurting my brain." Elijah whined.

Elijah was a wild person, he knows what he wants but selectively chooses to step out of his boundaries at the most unexpected times. Ethan is probably the only person to understand the way he does things.

"It works both ways then, if he knows your plans, try to work out what he'd do. He's just possessed anyway, it only gives him more power." I said.

As we continued down the streets, the environment slowly got more bare until we could see buildings and cars frozen solid; humans were turned into ice sculptures with the risk to melt away from the sun. Corl was here and we needed to find him stat.

"Stay hidden, I can sense that we're super close." Elijah whispered to me.

I did as he instructed and hid in the closest alley I could find. I remained quiet and vigilant for any noises that could happen in the vicinity. It hadn't been long before I heard Elijah shout, causing me to run out of my spot as fast as I could. All that was left was a frozen human before me. Fear overcame me as I got closer to Elijah.  His pendant was gone and there was a huge cut going down his cheek like he just about missed being blinded. So much had gone down in such a short space of time it was unbelievable to me.

I created a gun and some bullets. I wasn't going to kill Corl, but I had to stop him and make sure he couldn't attack me. I had limited time as my friend was going to melt away in a matter of minutes - I had no choice. What I didn't expect when scouting the area was to be hit in the back with ice, then grabbed from behind. I could feel the ice spreading to different parts of my body as I struggled out of his grip. I picked up the gun and pointed it in the direction I was hit while breathing heavily.

"I don't want to hurt you, but if I have to, I will." I called out.

"Why would you if you don't want to then." I heard Corl say next to me. It scared me and I almost dropped the gun.

"Let me win, you have no chance anyway." he said, stepping forward. I observed Elijah's pendant in his hand. If I shot him he'd drop it, allowing me to get it. I took a deep breath, almost half of my body was frozen solid so I had to think of something quickly. This is what being a hero is about. This is for Elijah and Ethan. This is for the world.

I closed my eyes and fired. The shout that followed told me I had succeeded and I picked up the pendant quickly and put it on. I had no idea how to work these powers, but if I wanted to live, I had to learn fast.

I lit a flame in my hand and held it a distance from my freezing body. The radiation was enough to melt the ice off and not my parts with it thankfully. With that new ability, I lit a bigger flame and set it the same distance from Elijah. I turned to Corl, who was now out cold on the ground. The surroundings slowly returned to normal. I had done this and it felt good.

When Elijah had been thawed, I gave returned his pendant saying I had to borrow it while explaining everything that went down. We talked about it on the way home, not forgetting to carry Corl's unconscious body with us.
