After literally dragging Alex out of bed for like the 6th time, everyone was finally sat around the dinner table, eating breakfast and discussing one final time our game plan for rescuing Elijah.

Star placed hot cocoas for herself and Alex on the table, along with some biscuits covered with Nutella. Yeah I don't know, she says it's good.

"'Kay so me and Denis got a look at where they wanted us to meet them. They're giving us 6 hours maximum or Elijah's donzo." Star said.

Denis used the little hologram thingy (created by yours truly) to display what the building looked like. It was a small concrete hut that looked like it was somewhere around Ophelia County. That alone was 4 hours from here.

"Sub will cut a hole in the roof above the room they have Elijah in. After that, Ethan and Alex will enter and use their powers to hide in the room until the signal is called. Star will take the 'crystal' - courtesy of Amie, tell her thank you by the way Ethan - and stand on the roof of Browne's Corp. Me and Braden will stand with her for backup and so Sunny and Moon can't get suspicious the others. Any questions?" Denis explained.

"Yeah, after I help Alex and Ethan get in what the fuck am I supposed to do?" I protested.

"You finna stay outside my guy. You're needed anyway knowing how much of a clutz Alex is." Star said, giggling.

Alex remained silent and just rolled his eyes at Star's comment. I agreed with her though - he's the reason we're here in the first place.

I pulled the circular cut out slowly and quietly using a couple thorny vines from a forest not to far away. It was kinda impressive how far I could get them to stretch not gonna lie. Ethan had already morphed into a mosquito and flew in while Alex pretty much fell in but caught himself before he hit the ground. I sealed the hole using some tree sap (it works better than you think if you use enough) and hid around the back of the building.

I waited about 45 minutes before I saw the bright purple glow coming from the area coming behind me - the plan was in action.

I heard the door open and I sprung into action, pulling the concrete out again. Alex and Ethan arrived, holding a lifeless, bloody Elijah in between them. I used Denis' pendant to teleport us home. I watched them go upstairs with Elijah before returning to Denis, Star and Corl in the arranged hiding spot. I returned Denis' pendant and we got the fuck outta there. Star and Corl were giggling hysterically like they were surprised we actually pulled it off, and I kinda laughed myself when imagining the look on both Sunny and Moon's faces - whether still merged or not - that they fell for one of the oldest tricks in the book. On the other hand though, I took into consideration the fact that this could also be a small part of a bigger plan they had in store for us. That was the scary part - knowing that we're in constant danger and if we fuck up it could cost us our powers or much worse, our lives. There's sometimes not even enough time to go through in detail what we need to do, and if we back track like how Elijah did we'd end up in the same situation he did.

I looked at Star, Denis and Corl returning to the game of mario kart we had started yesterday afternoon. None of them seemed phased by these possibilities - or at least they're not showing it. I could totally be overthinking shit right now but all these people I'm surrounded by - they're my best friends, almost like family. I couldn't stand to lose them.
