"Okay we got pizza, iced coffee and chocolate cake, these weird little key ring toys..Now are we ready to do our job?" I asked.

"Yeah..I've never felt so full in any of my 640 lives." Moon said, followed by a burp.

"Elise is really missing out." Braden said. He suddenly took out his kikoku faster than I could blink. "Let's get this thing done now."

"Chile we're investigating not murdering.." I said, slowly guiding his hand to sheathe his kikoku.

We walked up to the staff only door which Braden said the guy came out of. Moon looked both ways before thinking of a demon spell and waving her hands. A navy blue aura floated around the door handle before making the door open. We entered and closed the door behind us. People are too busy doing their daily things to recognise us sneaking in anyway.

We made our way down a thin corridor before stopping at an intersection. Moon and Braden looked totally unsurprised at the situation and felt the wall in front of us. Moon's hand hit a button and the wall fell back, but stopped before hitting the ground. The two let me walk in first, then closed pushed the wall back into place. I lit up my wand, Braden held up his phone with the torch on, and Moon lit a flame in her hand.

We made it too a small room which looked like a storage area. Braden found the lights and turned them on, revealing a few items of suspicion.

There was a table to the right of us, with boxes under them. Braden pointed out that that was exactly what he and the other pals found in the pet store the other day. Moon opened them, but no animals. Just tattoo ink and needles.

I walked toward a sheet which was very clearly covering something. I yanked it off and before me was a huge machine which never looked like anything I've seen before, despite me being from a different planet and an angel.

"The fuck is this.." Moon asked, touching it.

"Forget that. Try to see if there's a keypad somewhere. I found a code." Braden said.

I went to the back of the machine and indeed there was a keypad. "Yeah right here." I said.

"Put in the code T5unN1371gh." he said.

I was never good with memory but I managed to get it done. The ceiling above us opened, and down came a cage containing 6 people, all tied up, covered in cuts and bruises, and censored.

"This is my type of bitch." Moon said, impressed.

Braden excitedly pulled out his kikoku and sliced the lock with such force and speed that it came off. Moon stepped away because "she doesn't do people" and insisted to be lookout while Braden and I untied and tore the tape off the victims. They all looked terrified for their life.

"Moon go get these people outta here." Braden said.

"Y'all gonna be good by yourselves?" she asked.

"I'm 22 and she's immortal. I think we got this Miss Moonshine."

Moon shrugged and followed the small crowd of people out of the room.

"Let's see what else we could find." I said, writing down the code and taking a picture of the machine.

Braden examined the tattoo ink and needles. "The tattoo.." he muttered.

"What about it?" I asked.

He took out his phone, then dragged one of the boxes out. On top of it was a design which looked like a sun mixed with a half moon with the words dead missing soul behind it. It looked too familiar to the sign of the Light family, which basically had a weather element representing each one of us. Just that the rest of the picture was missing in this art.

"Exactly what I thought. Either those people were targets, or we just let out criminals." Braden said.

"Let's stick with targets." I said. "But why this art though?"

"You know what it is?"

"Yeah. It's part of the sign for our family. Every demon and angel family has a sign for their own."

I held up turned around and held my braids up to show Braden my marking. The stars on it were bigger than the rest of the picture to show that those were what represented me. It was then that Moon ran in, grabbed the two of us and hid behind a table.

"What was that a-"

Moon put her finger over my mouth. We heard the wall push into place and footsteps walking quietly into the room we were in.
