Demon Strength

WE hid behind a sofa in the far back and slowly peaked over the top of it. Demon girl had just turned into her human form, which means this was the first time we're actually seeing her. I took out my phone and record her, being careful enough to not show it off. 

"The doors are locked and your dumb superpowers don't work. Come out now while I'm still calm." she says, already getting irritated.

"Should we..?" Ethan asked.

"She is gonna find us, but then again we could wait it out. Sometimes demons get too angry and just leave it be. She...she's definitely on her wits end." Corl said.

"Y'know we're right here." Elijah said.

"I know what I said was true."

We decided to wait it out, and she actually called backup to block all the exits. In the middle of the candles I could see a drawing, which looked a lot like the one on the inside of my wrist. That means she is somehow demonically related to me.

"She was trying to open a portal using Ethan's soul right?" I asked Elijah.

"Yeah..whatcha thinking about?" he asked.

"She's definitely related to us, and she said our normal powers don't work. She never said anything about demon powers." 

"Oooo me likey. So we're gonna blow her up with some demon spell we totally lucked out on?"

"I- no! I mean we could try..But what if I used my soul because I hate my demon, and not to brag or lie but I'm older and stronger than you." 

Elijah looked offended for a little bit but then laughed. "You're not confident about your idea at all."

"Well of course I'm not. Leave me and my bad ideas alone." 

We shared the plan with Corl and Ethan, they got on board and told me my plan could work if we were really careful. 

Corl told out his katana and kissed it. "If I need to leave you behind, it's for a good reason."

He aimed it at one of demon girl's guards and the katana decapitated him so clean it was scary.

We took that as our go time and Elijah was already at the guards while Ethan held back demon girl. Corl grabbed his katana and joined Elijah in taking out her guards, which didn't prove easy. I laid inside the circle of candles and closed my eyes. I focused and soon the sound of everything drained out until it was just me in silence. I already felt sick inside like my demon was trying to mess with me but I pushed that to the back of my mind. In the darkness the word Sunny was the only light. The same sign was next to her name and after that I was brought back to reality. 

I looked up to see a portal and I gave a thumbs up to Ethan and he motioned to Elijah and Corl. We all ran to the portal, waved by to them and we're taken to a gore room. We knew this was where Denis and Amie by the torn pieces of clothing so maybe we were making progress? 

"That was pretty cool not gonna lie." Ethan said.

"Yea and now we know a little more about her. She's definitely related to us meaning the Moon knows all about her and she's not telling us. Her name is 'Sunny' and I'm guessing she's a Light as well because that's the only surname our demonic parents have." I stated.

"She's a lot like Moon so imma say she's probably related to her..and that'd explain why she would try to get into Moon's mind." Elijah added.

"Okay, we're getting somewhere. We're still here for Denis and Amie but we can look for anything that might help us figure this girl out." Corl said.

We agreed on that and got to work.
