The Relation

Elijah

It felt like forever since Sub called us. We definitely weren't finding anything on Sunny, and we were becoming more tired and hungry by the second. I also had a sense of my powers being drained from me but I didn't take much consideration into that because it left as fast as it came.

Now, we we're just here..I don't know what else you'd wanna know..the door was locked so even if we wanted to leave, we couldn't. I'm just hoping Sub gets here fast with something for me to eat.

"Alex..really and truly..what the fuck are you doing..?" Corl asked.

I looked down from the top of a bunk bed, which wasn't really the safest place to be since this was so worn down and old.

Alex was lying on the ground, turning his head in different directions, like he was trying to read something on the ceiling. I looked up as well, to see what he was trying to get at.

"There's something up there..it's just really blending in and my stupid telekinesis won't work." Alex said, finally sitting up.

"I gotchu." Ethan said, pulling off one of the iron bars from the bunk bed.

"Dude are you tryna kill me?" I asked, jumping down.

"No..Sorry though.." he said.

You can't stay mad at a brother like mine.

Ethan stood in front the door and closed his eyes. He looked like he was concentrating hard, and soon he started to glow and the place started to shake.

The door slowly opened, and the shaking stopped shortly after.

"How's that for demon powers?" Ethan asked.

"Okay Mr. Showoff." Alex said in a jokingly salty way.

"Wait, so what was the pole for-?" Corl asked.

"There's Caythe crystals everywhere right?" Ethan started.

"Yeah.." I said.

Ethan stepped out the door, then there were sounds of crystals smashing.

He came back and tossed the iron bar on the ground. "Am I a genius or what?" he asked.

"What?" Corl said jokingly.

"Aight let's get outta here and find some McDonald's 'cause ya boi is hungry." I said, getting up.

With that, we all left, but I knew something was wrong. Alex seemed to figure that out too, but Corl and Ethan looked like they couldn't are less.

It was like I could just about see spirit fragments in front of me, which Moon and Blue said were extinct now but I knew my eyes weren't deceiving me. I stupidly reached out to see if I could touch them, obviously that didn't happen.

I turned to Alex, who was studying the note he saw earlier like his life actually depended on it.

"You finding anything?" I asked.

"No...but I swear this is some sort of foreign language or something.." he said, studying it with his tongue out.

"How much concentration are you putting into this? It's prolly not all that serious."

Alex realised his tongue was out and slowly put it back in his mouth. "I do that when I.."

"Understandable." I said, giggling.
