"Aaaand..done! How's that?" Alex said, showing us Sub's arm."Surprisingly realistic. You really made the mud look like tattoo ink." Denis mentioned.
"Some of it's mud, some of it's dried blood."
Alex turned to Sub. "See, it wasn't all that bad."
"Tell that to the poison ivy I gave you." Sub muttered before getting up.
"He's kidding right..?"
"Nah, it's Sub's 'natural defence'." Elijah said like he'd been in a situation like that before.
"It takes about 12 to 48 hours for the rashes to come up. We'll figure out then." Braden said.
Sub came back with one of the duffle bags. "Turn into animals and get in the bag already."
"Awe someone's cranky.." Denis teased.
Sub rolled his eyes and impatiently shook the bag. As a shapeshifter, I could become any animal I wanted to, but that's the problem. There's so many and there's no limits. I'd want to go with something fierce yet gentle at the same time so then I'm not restricted too much.
I closed my eyes and imagine the animal, just like Star told me to, and I felt my body taking the shape of the animal.
I put myself on Sub's shoulder and watched him sigh loudly before taking us to the man.
My God...parrots see the world so much differently..
The man put his hands on the back of my neck and I already felt uncomfortable just by the way he handled us. He practically threw me into a bird's cage, and I watched him take the other animals out the bag. He looked at Elijah weirdly for a second, probably 'cause he's never seen a dragon before, but shrugged and put him in a cage too. He disappeared into the back room, leaving us alone.
"Now we wait.." Elijah said telepathically.
I watched him settle into his cage, putting him scaly arm through the metal bars and tapping his claws on the floor. Denis had already curled up a was half asleep. Braden was already out cold, like watching the man for an hour totally drained him. Alex couldn't stop scratching himself, which definitely meant he has poison ivy..or maybe it's fleas? Nah, most likely poison ivy.

The guy finally left the back room which made all of us look up in excitement. For the past 12 hours or so it was boring as hell. He barely kept his eyes on the animals, except for one or two times where he picked up a couple animals and took them into the room with him. He called it, his "checkup session" but as he hasn't brought any out, I don't think it's that at all.
