Coming Back

Moonshine

"STAR WAKE UP!" I shouted.

The girl jumped awake then gave me a death stare. 

"The fuck is wrong with you!" she shouted at me.

"Girl chill your flat boobs. Denis, Amie, Ethan, and we are in danger. Maybe even the others if they came for us." I said.

"Well at least mine aren't fake.." Star mumbles.

"You-" I took a deep breath. This is why I hate her. "That's not the point. Don't you have a way of finding them or something?" 

"No dipshit, 'cause when you were with her you took my powers!" Star said.

I yanked my hands hard on the chains again, in hope of breaking them. I've been cuffed to this bed for hours, and my arms are sore. It doesn't help that Star is pretty much a headache as well. It's always the youngest y'know.

"You worked with her as well though.." I said.

"I don't remember that.." she said with a softening tone.

She somehow accessed my thoughts or something because she suddenly started to break down. Alex had to be real patient with this mess of a person. I just earned so much more respect for him.

"I'm scared okay. I know what I did. The people I were to protect could be dead by now because of me. I just want this to be over." she confessed.

I felt bad for some reason, probably because I learnt to have some form of sympathy and empathy for others. "It's like that sometimes, and this might kill me, but you have to swear on your many lives that you won't tell any of the pals." 

She crossed her heart.

"Her name is Sunny. Remember? The demon and angel warrior? A demon-angel mix like Ethan is? Kept betraying both of us then got butthurt when we 'weren't giving her enough'?" 

"Ooooh, her! I knew she looked familiar!" Star said.

"Yeah..I just didn't tell them because she'd end their lives and they aren't prepared to fight her at all." 

"So when were you gonna tell us that?" a voice asked.

We slowly turned to see Denis and Amie in front of us, covered in dirt and cuts, some of which were bleeding.

"Damn where were you guys?" I asked.

"Well she tried to hang us, simply just cut the rope from around our necks while she wasn't looking. Place was surrounded by Caythe crystals so Denis couldn't teleport us out, so we had a whole fight with her, we won of course. Anyway we've been through a lot." Amie said, sounding definitely tired.

Denis unlocked the handcuffs and tossed two bottles of lotion to me and Star. We happily took them and rubbed the lotion on our sore wrists.

"You were saying?" Star said, looking at me with a smirk.

"Yeah yeah so they got away from her..so what? Demons are made up so much more. Swear to God you haven't seen the last of it." I said, getting off the bed. 

"Okay so from what I know, the only powers working right now, are demonic." Amie said.

I smiled. Power is so good. Star crossed her arms in disappointment.

"She's gonna get us killed but okay." she said.

"I swear to do my job properly baby sister." I said, messing up her hair.

I turned and jumped onto the bed. I pulled off the vent cover. "Best way around, movies or not. The others are definitely here so if we find them, then there's safety in numbers." 

I crawled inside the dusty vent shaft and when I didn't hear anyone following me, I had to go back. "Uh..hello?" I asked.

"We could easily.." Star said, pointing to the door.

"Just trust me! Jesus!" I shouted.

"Okay okay..." she said, following me. Denis and Amie came after. 

"The reason why I was like that was because you all never trust me..It hurts." I said. "There are cameras almost everywhere.." 

"Sorry..I guess we could be heartless to demons too sometimes." Denis admitted.

"It's okay I guess. We're used to it." 

There was silence for a while before Amie gasped, coughed because she must've inhaled a cobweb, then said "Look!" 

Star and I turned around to face her and Denis. The vent had finally opened up a little more, enough for two to fit comfortably in the shaft. 

Below us were 6 pairs of shoes and a wild Sub, bent over awkwardly. The cover was carelessly placed, meaning the two of them could've easily fallen through, and that Elijah, Corl and Alex were here.

We jumped down, avoiding the sticky substance. "Hiya.." Sub said awkwardly. 

I closed my eyes and muttered the levitation spell, then pointed and Sub. His whole body started to rise, and his hands were bleeding because of the torn off skin. 

"Where are the rest?" I asked.

"I don't know but demon girl is going for them." Sub said with a tone of fear.
