Hailey's POV For the first time in months I am happy and I am over the moon. Things with Jay are going great and unit are closer than ever, and for once nothing crazy or bad is happening to me.
We were walking up to intelligence when I heard everyone joking around, "morning" I say as we walk in "morning glad you could join us"Adam joked "shut it" jay chuckles back. "Right we have a case" voight says as he walks out of his office. "Two gang bangers committed murder and attempted arson, they murdered one of there friends who was a heroine dealer but we also have David Naz who is convicted for kidnapping and rape. So far they are the suspects for this case. Jay Hailey I want you to pick them up and bring them here for questioning. Kim find out where they are and get Upton that location." He says as he drops the folder on my desk and goes back in his office. I walk over to my desk and grab the folder, me and jay both scan it over, "David Naz? Why do I know that name?" I question "well let's go get em and see" jay says as we head back downstairs.
10 minutes later
"Hails we got a ping on his phone they are in a closed street down town near the old warehouses, 223 englar road" Kim say through my phone "okay thanks Kim we should be back soon" I say as I hang up.
"Jay can we talk?" I ask breaking the silence "sure" he hesitates "I don't want this to be awkward, I love spending time with you and I love you but I also love being your parter so I would really appreciate it if we could make this work." I say as I look over at him "awww Hailey I love you too" he smiles as he looks over at me and I just chuckle and rolls my eyes. "But seriously can you treat me like your partner?" I ask "yeah we can keep this on the down low" he says back.

We were waiting to see where David and Mike would show up and lucky enough they did. Jay and I carefully sneak out trying not to catch their attention but we had to be quick, we both draw our guns and shout "CHICAGO PD DON'T MOVE!" Mike stood in shock and Jay got him but David ran for it.
"One offender running!" I shout into my radio "jay you good?" I ask "yeah go I got him" he says as I jump into full speed and start to chase after him.
